Lack of sunbeds round the pool.

    rating19 Nov 2025

These bungalows are fabulous. Spotlessly clean and in a great location. Comfy beds, very powerful shower, and a spacious outside terrace with sofas and a table and chairs. I have 2 negative comments. Firstly there were only 19 sunbeds round the pool. Nowhere near enough considering there are 12 bungalows, each sleeping up to 4 people. Beds were being reserved as early as 6.30am and on one occasion there were 13 beds reserved at 7am, only leaving 6 beds for anyone else. I did mention this to reception on check out. Secondly there was no plug in the kitchen sink and for a resort so eco friendly I was surprised at this. I mentioned it to housekeeping on my first day and I saw the girl mention it to a supervisor but I left after 10 days and still no plug...therefore i was washing up with a running tap wasting huge amounts of water during my stay.Would I stay here again...not sure as the sunbed situation was horrendous.

Peaceful retreat in a fantastic location

    rating27 Aug 2025

I really want to leave a detailed review for this lovely little resort - the family section of a primarily adults only complex with different properties dotted around the marina. We booked with Jet2. The bus dropped us immediately outside the bungalows but it really should be made clearer the reception is inside the Suites Del Lago about 50m down the road. The driver was vague with his hand signals and we had to then take all our luggage down the road. Our room wasnt ready but we were offered cold drinks while we checked in, left our luggage and told to return in 1 hr and our cases were then driven up to our bungalow. There are 12 bungalows. They are bigger than they look from the patio, with a super king room, a twin room, large bathroom, and a lounge / kitchenette. There isn’t much work surface, no oven, a small hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and large fridge freezer. More practical glasses would have been handy as we were constantly washing up the four small tumblers provided. Lovely terrace with table chairs and comfy sofa. The aircon worked brilliantly, a small issue one day but the remote was quickly replaced and all ok again. There is a large safe in the main bedroom. Towels and pool towels are provided. The cleaners work very hard and the place is spotless. The pool area is beautiful, and nobody reserved sunbeds!! What an absolute joy to find empty beds at 11am or 2pm or 4pm etc and for this reason alone I would return. There are 9 pairs of beds with parasols. They are padded with a mattress protector which is a nice touch. On first impression the pool felt a bit small and it shelves quite steeply which may not suit young children. But overall it was just fine, so quiet and very chilled with families playing and sharing inflatables. No music or entertainment. The marina is a 1 min walk away. Just perfect. We had a hire car for 3 days and was able to use the onsite car park, just needed a gate fob from reception and a €20 deposit. Great not to be worrying about where to park. There are some fab restaurants within the Lago resort but unfortunately quite a few are adults only. We particularly wanted to eat at the Thai Garden, my kids favourite. I really do think they should review this policy, especially if you are residents of the Lago. My children would behave just fine so I think they could lower the age to 10/12? Also worth mentioning there are four 3-bed villas next to the bungalows with private pools, overlooking the marina. These looked super spacious and would love to try them on another visit. The beach is a 7/8 min walk away. It was sooo busy! We walked onto Son Xoriger which is about 15 mins and felt slightly more spaced out. There are 2 small supermarkets just across the road from the bungalows, one had a little bakery inside which was great for picking up pastries or baguettes for lunch. Overall a gem of a property in a family friendly resort that gave us the peace and quiet we wanted yet in the heart of the resort. Fabulous stay

    rating24 Jul 2025

We went July for a week mum, dad, 14, and 17 year old. We booked a villa so the teenagers could stay in bed and we could be at the pool and outside sunbathing rather than the battle we have had previously. We arrived at 2. Villa ready at 3 so left our luggage and went for a drink for an hour. Check in is down the road at the hotel. The check out was 12 but we left before for our transfer. You each get a wrist band that lets you into the gated complex, then keys for your villa. The villas are clean and tidy. Lots of towels, loo roll, washing up liquid etc. lots of toiletries in the bathroom, enough for all week. The cleaners come every day and can’t do enough for you. Nice coffee mugs and wine glasses were a great touch. Plus a full size fridge freezer. Great for the Ice for the drinks. The location is great. At the side of the villa a few steps take you straight onto the marina, we were in villa 3. This is full of restaurants and bars with supermarkets so you have all you need at 10 paces. We did no cooking and ate out all week. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook if you wanted to but mums week off so out we went. Having the pool was great and the sun loungers and Bali bed to hand ment you didn’t really need to leave the villa. The front patio overlooking the marina was fabulous. Nice to have your coffee on a morning watching it come to life. Even better at night overlooking the evenings and the buss of the marina. Still busy at 2300 but not so it would disturb you if you were in bed. We went to the lagoon pool that the bungalows share and this was a good size too. We would definitely return again as it suited our family and you just can’t beat the choice the marina has to offer. If you’re thinking of booking just do it. You will not be disappointed Lago Resort Menorca, Other at Lago Resort Menorca - Villas & Bungalows del Lago, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that your family stay in one of our villas was such a success. A lovely self contained complex

    rating14 Jun 2025

We booked 9 nights in a bungalow as a part of a dual centre holiday break. There were just two of us so the facilities provided in the bungalow were absolutely fine. The cooking equipment was a little sparse with not much work space and just the single hob portable cooker, no oven with a microwave. We soon adapted to this but for four people it could be an issue although it does encourage people to use the many bars/restaurants around the place. There's just four sets of crockery and cutlery so be prepared to do the washing up! The pool area was nice and we got sunbeds whenever we wanted but if everyone went at the same time there wouldn't be enough but the pool isn't big enough anyway. The complex was lovely and you had your own patio area to sit or dine in and there is parking available within the complex - you can get an electric gate key for a small deposit. Cleaning was available every day if you wanted it. The rooms need a bit of TLC in places and there were no English TV channels. The staff said Brexit but I guess that the hotel has to pay a satellite fee since we got six channels when we moved over to S'Algar. However we weren't there to watch TV. The location was excellent just minutes from the Marina. The bungalows are semi detached and while we were there our neighbours were quiet and respectful but you can hear noise - no different from hotel rooms except no noise from above. It was our first visit to Cala n'Bosh and we thought it was a great base with nice beaches and some nice but rocky walks. We would definitely stay here again. We had a car and visited a number of places but used the bus for Ciatadella which we are glad we did!Reception check in is at the nearby hotel which we had checked out before we went so knew what to do and they were very welcoming. You can use the different facilities available at the hotel but we were more than happy with what we had so didn't do that. Shops wise there are a couple of decent size "supermarkets" around the marina and a couple of smaller ones by the hotel so self catering isn't a problem even if you don't have a car. So the bungalows are good, not perfect but we will certainly consider coming back here again. Lovely resort.

    rating30 Apr 2025

The bungalows and the complex they sit on are lovely. I do think as we were slightly out of season, we didn’t get to experience the resort at its best. On arrival no one seemed to be expecting us, and no one was aware that we had checked out as the main resort wasn’t open to guests yet, so did feel like an after thought. There was no communication that the main resort was closed at this time of year, so we weren’t aware we wouldn’t be able to use the additional facilities, which was something we hoped to do. The resort itself is lovely, but if travelling before May, be aware that very few restaurants are open, so limited choice at this time of year. Lago Resort Menorca, Other at Lago Resort Menorca - Villas & Bungalows del Lago, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind words about our resort and bungalows. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it must have been to arrive and feel that things weren’t fully prepared, and we sincerely apologize if communication regarding the seasonal opening of our main resort and facilities was unclear.Your comments are very helpful to us, and we will take them into account to improve how we inform guests about the availability of services during the early season. We’re glad you appreciated the charm of the resort itself, and we truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the warmer months, when the full experience is available.Warm regards,Susanna AlberolaQuality Manager
