This hotel lies on the outskirts of Murcia, some 5 minutes walk from the historical centre and within a short distance of the congress palace and auditorium. The lively inner city offers an abundance of shops and entertainment venues and amongst the sights counts a cathedral and the university buildings. The city airport is 46 km away whilst the Mediterranean coast may be reached by car in around 1 hour, lying approximately 50 km from the hotel.

    Lovely hotel with good facilities. Nice big room with a balcony overlooking pool. Good breakfast and nice bar area . Swimming pool excellent after a long day wandering the streets of Murcia, only reason I give less than 5 stars is the location being just a bit far from centre.

    Not our first stay and in general it’s all very good but we cannot understand why they limit the use of their outdoor bars and pool area to 2 months (July/August) a year. They have the best outside facilities in Murcia centre yet don’t maximise the potential. In May it was 30+ degrees and all outside was shut. Last week, again 30+ degrees and only the pool. Even in the evening the outside bar area was shut. There was enough adults using the hotel to cover the cost of staff but the hotel chooses to allow revenue to go out the door. We just bought drinks from local supermarkets and took them to the pool area and went into town every night.A lost opportunity for Santos Hotels

    I have mixed options about this hotel. The reasons why;1. On arrival we arrived early as our plane landed early in the morning. We came in just to ask about what time they can check us in. The staff member in response was quite standoffish with us which made us quite awkward.2.the mini fridge takes about 24 hours just to give you a lukewarm drink 3. Air conditioning works good however keep randomly coughing when it’s turned on. 4.Parking ticket randomly stopped working twice in one day having to go reception just to fix it. 5. Some of the life guards that man the pool are quite rude. You say hello to them just to get ignored. I thought might have been the case of not hearing me so on the way out I said goodbye in Spanish just to get ignored again. Some are lovely!!!6.They leave you letters under the door if you have “don’t disturb” on your door to arrange when to clean your room.7. They give you wristbands that you can’t take off just to access the pool. They didn’t tell us that you can’t take them off once they been put on. I didn’t realise you physically can’t take them off and I fidget a lot so without realising it I tightened it causing it to start hurting my wrist and without any scissors in sight it’s a struggle to take off. Had to result to biting the plastic just to get it off my arm 8. Returning to the hotel at night you will be welcomed by rubbish at front of the hotel.9. You have beggars sometimes waiting around the hotel that will beg you for money and follow you!!! Probably the worst experience I’ve had with this making us question our safety.Overall the hotel looks lovely and is fairly priced but it ain’t no 4 star in my option.

    Well appointed hotel, friendly staff fantastic breakfast. Comfy and cool rooms with lovely toiletries and everything provided - good fridge. Lovely big clean pool with decent towels provided. Short walk into the centre but excellent bus connections to the front door.

    We recently visited the hotel Nelva in Murcia in order to attend a concert at the plaza de toros. The hotel is perfectly placed for this location. Our room overlooked the road but was perfectly quite in the night. The room was of a good size but looking slightly tired. We used the swimming pool during the day and this is very good, although because the hotel appeared to be full there were insufficient sun beds. Before going to the concert we decided to eat at the hotel, this meal was served outside and was very good with very attentive waiters also the price was very good. the following morning we had breakfast in the hotel. We thought this was very poor with poor a selection of food and often long queues forming for things like coffee the staff found it difficult to keep up with replenishing the food. The underground car parking was included in the price of the room and again this was extremely helpful. Both the check in and check out procedures were simple and efficient
