Awful Experience From a Racist Waiter
17 Aug 2026
When you are subjected to a hate crime and racist abuse you want to score less than 1, but there isn't an option.Never in my lifetime did I ever expect to be told to feck off so aggressively in a public environment by a racist waiter. The waiter responsible did this in front of other guests and simply because we asked to see a menu. When leaving the restaurant, the waiter shouted a grossly offensive and racist comment towards us. He also had his arm in the air and gave a facist salute The hotel should have been more robust with the incident, and had a zero tolerance approach. This experience has left us extremely upset and brought my wife to tears. We made a verbal complaint at the time, but should have called the Guardia Civil to deal with the incident.Instead, we agreed to let AZZ Hotel Group deal with the incident, which was a mistake. The investigation was biased and clearly aimed at protectig their corporate image, rather than focus on our emotional needs. The investigation wasn't a transparent as one would expect from a European nation who has a zero tolerance approach to racism. The individual should have been arrested and prosecuted. I did ask for the video evidence from the incident, but have not had a reply to my email.Credit and gratitude must go to the female receptionist who was equally shocked by the behaviour of a racist colleague. She dealt with the incident professionally and with compassion - well doneThe experience is meant to warn other potential guests of the calibre of staff being employed by AZZ Hotel Group. We have since been refunded the cost of the hotel stay, which we are grateful for but will do our best to warn others about this ghastly hotel.

Located in a commercial park.

Hotel located in a commercial park, very much on the outskirts of Pamplona city. It is not a hotel for a vacation, very far from the city center and without good transportation links. Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es. View originals.

The kindness of all the staff.

A hotel near Pamplona is in an industrial area ideal for resting; if you need a taxi, it will take you to Pamplona for 15 euros. There is also a bus service nearby, and Eroski and Aldi are very close. The hotel staff, from reception to waiters and services, are very friendly and attentive. Bad breakfast, room and supplements (paying for outdoor parking and getting wet because it rains is low level). The staff is friendly but scarce;, the computer system failed them and forced them to waste time and neither thank you, they do not give you even tissues and in the mini bar there is not even water...It's not four stars. AZZ P, at Azz Pamplona Norte Hotel ****, responded to this review Estimado Luis,Lamentamos mucho que el desayuno no haya sido al nivel de su esperanza.Gracias y un cordial saludo Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es.
