Loved everything about it except the air conditioner was not operating. I dislike when the hotels in Europe turn off their air during the winter. There are some of us who are always warm.

A fantastic time in Hemmingway's haunt in Pamplona!

Excellent staff, they proudly showed us Hemmingway's room. The location was fantastic and the luxurious room was nicely located so we could look out the balcony to see the place they run the bulls! The only critique we would have was the breakfast; the staff was friendly enough, but the set-up was not the European-type breakfast buffet to which we were accustomed. My recommendation would be to set up the breakfast experience along the "usual" lines of a hotel breakfast buffet.

Absolutely the best

In addition to the location which sits at the heart of restaurants and easy access to transportation, the staff were incredibly welcoming. They were perfectly professional, but more than that was their sincerity. Pleasant doesn't scratch the surface how delightful the team was and I look forward to my next visit. The rooms themselves are incredibly clean and comfortable, this is definitely the type of place you would want to stay for a vacation. There were no issues at all with the noise levels -- if I hadn't seen the other guests I would have thought I was alone in the building. I understand that it may seem pricey, but the atmosphere and presentation added value for what was spent. The amenities were also top notch, and the breakfast served was enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend anyone to enjoy a stay here.

Over the Top - 5 Start and More

Sometimes the question going to a small town is - well Pamplona does have 250,000 residents - "a 5-star hotel really a 5-star hotel?".... We will get that out of the way right up front. The Grand Hotel La Perla, absolutely. A very unassuming entry through an old archway, to a quaint lobby. The service was fantastic and up to our room - my mouth dropped. A beutifully appointed and spotlessly clean room - well more a suit with a wonderful view over the street. We could not have asked for anything nice, and everywhere we turned, the service was above and beyond. Thank you La Perla - did I mention the excellent restaurant and breakfasts? We will be back.
