I found the room noises too disturbing at night. It maybe the pumps and motors of the spa but I needed ear plugs. The all inclusive buffet menu was mediocre, it will gain a lot by having somebody making fresh eggs in the morning and gri meat or fish in the evening. The outdoor swimming pool is great and despite being baño holiday in Orense, the outdoor swimming pool, the crowing glory of the spa, was never too busy. Magical first thing in the morning!

If you want to meet the "authentic Spain" stay here for a couple of nights !
15 Aug 2017
Well, it all depends on what you want during your holiday, of course, but we liked the hotel a lot.... It has a sort of Fellini atmosphere, but of course that is way of interpretation and looking at things.... We came here by accident (run away in another hotel (road trip Spain) and found this at the last moment).... The hotel is situated in a small village, so there is nothing to do.... Meaning you have to have a car for trips etc.... It is located in the mountains, near a river, the surroundings are beautiful... It is very quiet.... The Balneario is a classical Spanish one - during our stay we did not see one foreign tourist, only Spanish people and probably Spanish tourists who came there to relax. They have in and outside pools / balnearios you can use for free when you are staying in the hotel. You have to bring your own slippers and cap - otherwise you have to buy it and wear the cap when you swim. You can go for wellness and saunas.... (we did not). The outside swimming is pool is really next to the river, mountain view... Spectacular. We stayed one night, so in the evening we had the diner buffet... It was really cheap and it was good (do not expect 5 star cuisine....) but is was fair food for a fair price. This is not a 5 star or 4 star hotel.... It is an honest place with honest friendly people working there. I asked for a late check-out, that was not a problem if I would pay for the surplus. When we actually checked out at 16:00 PM, we did not have to pay the extra - because it was only 16:00 PM... ! nice ! People do not speak English very well, but that did not bother us at all, they did the best they could. So: for peace/ quite/ rest/ being on your own (or two): do it for a night (or two)... ! Oh and our room was OK / basic/ clean with a balcony with great view !

Spring Rowing Camp
06 May 2017
Came with a party of 35 rowers for a training camp. Agreeably surprised with quality of the Hôtel and the standard of the bedrooms. Has a very 70's feel but is only 20 years old. Thermal spa facilities good and I had excellent massage treatment. All meals buffet style, lots of choice, but food tended to go cold and was often overlooked. Puddings were nice. Wine and beer at the bar were good and very cheap. Lake and river provide stunning views and walks. The rowers were very happy with the venue and lake.

Our room with river view and balcony with wonderful view of river Minho. Stylish in luxurious 70's way with large windows, wide corridors and lots of wood. The spa facilities are excellent - lots of people of all ages walking around in bath robes and flip flops going to the spa. Friendly staff who spoke English with us even though they don't have many UK visitors.

Hidden gem

Unique location, relaxing and quite. we went there to attend the wedding and I was thinking hell of a drive from Madrid but it was worth it. Spa facilities are average but hotel itself is situated next to the river and the whole environment is so calm and tranquil. Breakfast had good selection and wedding night food was amazing. I would recommend it for nice relaxing weekend.
