    A place to stay

    rating24 Dec 2017

Comfortable rooms, and beautiful views. Near the center with nice walks along the river and in between the old part of town.Stay on the last rooms on the corridor if you stay at the down floor. More quite and far from lift and reception for more quite space. Amazing hot water poll with "churros" on a very nice SPA. Recommended.

Beautiful surroundings - Empty hotel - standard.

    rating20 Jan 2017

I spent one night in January 2017 here. It was almost empty. I was the only one at breakfast. I thought I had booked with the spa services. When checking-in I was told I had to pay extra 19 euros for the little Spa circuit. The room was quite good. I got one with a balcony and a view on the river and the old mill (very nice!). Toilet and bath were huge with a bath tub and an Italian shower (walk-in shower) all in one big bath. That was great! TV was very small with no english channels. Room was very good but noisy, even with an almost empty hotel, imagine when it is full. I was at ground floor room 003 (You can hear cleaning staff and other guests slamming the doors) Staff was friendly in general but seem to have a problem with smiling.... they don't look happy with their job and avoid eye contact. At checking-out the young girl was friendly and fast, but she did ask if I enjoyed the stay. She was very ceremonial and serious and she give me somehow the feeling of being the director of this establishment. I would definitely come back, maybe hoping to get a smile from the receptionist girl and from the breakfast boy. acabello, Director de Relaciones Públicas at Eurostars Vila de Allariz Hotel & Balneario, responded to this review Thank you very much for your comment!!! Wow

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience here, the staff whilst having some difficulty with English were helpful and always keen to be of assistance. The hotel is modern and well equipped with everything you could want and is set in a lovely part of this fantastic village. If there is one glitch it is that you can only use the spa/pool etc if you pay extra as it is not strictly part of the hotel.

Clean, spacious hotel with easy access to splendid Allariz

    rating29 Mar 2016

We had a long Spring stay in Allariz which is an ideal touring centre for the south of Galicia. The hotel's great asset it's location on the edge of the pedestrianised centre of Allariz itself. The rooms are comfortable with excellent bathrooms. Unfortunately technology is a minor but constant irritant. The hotel charges a premium rate for room access to WiFi. From the outset we found that the Premium access service failed to operate in our hotel room. Free WiFi access is available in the hotel lobby and so we had to engage in a constant back and forth to check messages. Trying to get into our hotel room was a continuing problem as the repeated failure of the electronic key cards meant that we had to regularly ask the charmingly disinterested reception staff to recharge our key cards! The hotel might arrange with the local tourism office to stock some of the useful maps of the town which would enable visitors to make the most of their stay in this delightful historic location.

    Mixed Bag

Very clean and large rooms with modern bathroom facilities. Very, very quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful, if limited in number . Food is the biggest challenge! Breakfast is heavy on bread, with and some meat and fruit. A small plate of eggs come out well after opening and are gone in moments. Only a tiny menu is available in the evening, and although they say 24 hour room service.....there is NO food of any kind available after breakfast on Sunday. The nearest village is walking distance, but not very convenient if you have even a simple meal need on Sunday. Pool facilities are a disappointment. No hot tub, and the sauna/steam room are only warm at best. No business center or place to print.
