  So during buissnes trip it was a nice and pleasent stay. Nothing bad to sayFriendly Reception, nice bar on first floorSimple Breakfast but what else could you possible want for Breakfast 😁Location Easy to find Only restoration work was A bit noisy during day time but wasnt at that time at HotelGot huge bed so also nice☺️

  Quite why they would call this place the old castle is beyond me - it is in what looks like an apartment complex. But with decent (paid) underground parking and a fairly central location, it is good for a night or so. The rooms are largish for the price and clean, the bathroom a good size, and the breakfast a very decent one. In terms of value for money, it is a good bet - no character as such (and no old castle!) but very comfortable and well priced.

  Pleased to find this hotel as dog friendly lodgings are not common in Spain. However dogs are not allowed in the public areas so be prepared to eat and drink outside. This is not a hardship as there are tapas bars nearby in this lovely town. Only problem we had was getting the car back in the morning. The underground car park is VERY secure and the key they gave me at reception would not work to open the big steel grill. I think you will enjoy your stay here.

  This is a clean, basic European business hotel located a 15 minute walk from the train station. Parking in their underground garage can be a hassle since they have only 2 key fobs to open the gate which must be returned to the front desk after use. An adjoining restaurant/bar and delicious bakery are conveniently located. It's a couple of blocks from here to walk around the main pedestrian street (Calle Mayor Principal) for other shopping and dining options. They offer free wireless internet but I could only connect reliably in the lobby, not in my room on the third floor. Don't plan on sleeping late, the nearby church bell will wake you. English speaking staff.

  One night travelling across spain, not really “very good” but better than “average”

  Stayed here on route to Santander.Car park underground is locked, so very safe, but an extra €10 euros per night.Receptionists helpful although limited english.Bedroom a bit tired with flaking paintwork on wall beside bed.Bathroom, however, excellent and lovely shower.No tea making facilities in room.Comfy bed but supplied with bolsters rather than pillows - so we fought over it all night long 😂Nice and warm and although we were over the main road, it was quiet all night until they started emptying the bins outside at some ungodly hour. But overall a very good nights sleep.Breakfast slightly disappointing as it’s all pastry or bread based behind the bar so you tell the barman what you want. No sign of fruit either.But the coffee is FAB-U-LOUS DARLING, we both overdosed before we left.I can’t say “average” as it wasn’t expensive and so I’ve chosen “very good”, it’s somewhere between the two.
