Stayed here 26th July on way upto santander pleasantly surprised, clean bright modern building underground carpark included in room price, cafeteria bit basic but ok, room 110 % with very good aircon , ideal for santander ( 125 miles ) or Bilao ferry ( 140 miles )

Excellent receptionist

The hotel is located about a10 minute walk from the town center. My room spacious, modern, and well designed for the traveler, the bed comfortableAn outstanding receptionist, Irene, went far beyond duty when I asked her for some information on transportation to Villa Romana Olmeda. She got all the bus schedules and the names and phone numbers of taxi drivers.Tips: The best, closest restaurant is Boulevar, two blocks from the hotel where everyone knows your name.

Stayed here on the recommendation of local colleagues; it's out of town and tucked away in a housing estate, so really quiet. And also doesn't have any car parking, expect to have to park by the road.Staff speak enough english that you won't starve, and you can get a wicked G&T from the cafe bar.No evening restaurant, though there are a few places within walking distance, and it's a short drive into Palencia (where expect a shortage of parking) for some good places to eat. Breakfast buffet is typical for the continent, breads, pastries, cheese and ham.Water pressure in the shower isn't going to win any rain forest style awards, but at least I didn't need a phD to master the controls. The rooms have roller shutters, so proper dark. Except my light bulbs didnt go out when you hit the switch, I had to unscrew them to get proper darkness?!One point to note...the walls are paper thin. The shutters? You'll hear your neighbours above, below and to each side open and close them. The floors are laminate, so you'll hear any high heeled shoes...and every toilet flush. And there's a children's playground directly next door, so plenty of shouting and shrieking til it's time for them to go home.A nice little place to stay, will probably stay again if in the area.

Decent stopover.

Stopped over on way to Portugal having driven 2 hours frm the ferry port in Santander. Clean, comfortable, with good buffet selection at breakfast. A few good little family bars/eateries on the main street 100 metres away. Hotel in a quiet area, no late night noise. One negative was the car park underground, very steep approach and exit, and when I was given very confusing guidance where to go and where to use the electric key fob, found the lights did not come on so was fumbling about in the dark. If you are on your own in a RHD UK car best ask for assistance to exit garage, as if you get out of vehicle to activate garage door, you will have a job to get out in a fully laden vehicle from a standing start. They charge an extra 8.80e for this usage. However didn't detract from my stay, would be very happy to use again. Very easy access to/from Santander.

Sadly nothing positive to say

The hotel is very ordinary , however it served it's purpose for a one night stopover en route to Santander from Salamanca. We (were told) had the best room in the hotel, which by and large was ok had a decent size bathroom with shower and bath. The breakfast was buffet style and was just about ok. Would we stay there again, simply no as it was too expensive for what it was. That said the staff (didnt seem to be many) were all very polite and helpful.
