Location

This hotel is located opposite Vigo estuary (Ria de Vigo), in the quiet neighbourhood of Alcabre, on the seafront a few paces from Carril Beach. The Museo do Mar de Galicia is around 700 m from the hotel, and just behind it guests will find the famous Samil Beach. The hotel is only 10 min from the centre of Vigo where guests will find a bus station, the regional museum and the tourist centre.

Facility

4 junior suites, 2 suites and 48 double rooms are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock.     A fabulous hotel. The reception guys were very friendly and helpful.Excellent room with view over lovely gardens and beach.The room was spotless, lovely bathtub and plenty of towels.We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous meal in their restaurant...fresh fish from the area and perfect veggies. The waiter Carlos was a lovely guy, very professional, friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Our car was taken from us at the front doors of the hotel and was brought to the parking area. Excellent service all-round.

    This hotel is beautifully positioned. The views are wonderful, and the rooms and staff are very thoughtful and kind. If you want to be next to clubs and in the middle of shopping area it’s not for you. Here, you are right by the water in walking distance to the beach. There is a lovely walk along the coastal path to Bouzas, where there are local restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, banks etc. And if one walks the other way, you reach some small beaches and Samil. I highly recommend this hotel. I have been staying here for many years, and will continue to do so!

    The old side of this hotel shows signs of being tired and in need of updating. Our room was in the old building, it was spacious, but lacks upkeep and maintenance. The terrace and its furnishings were dirty, and the diving wooden wall had peeling paint. Be careful stepping out of the bathtub, its very high!! There is nothing within walking distance, i.e. shops, dining, etc... They have a newer building where the rooms are smaller but a little more well kept. We were told by a taxi driver that he heard hotel was up for sale. This I did not confirm.

    We loved this hotel. It is a mixture of old and new, with absolutely beautiful gardens that lead down to the beach. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. There is also a lovely swimming pool. The room was amazing and had beautiful views. We were a little disappointed with the breakfasts. They were ok but not as good as we had had elsewhere. We had an evening meal in the Galician restaurant and had a mixed experience. Our fish course arrived at the same time as the main course and was lukewarm warm. However the first course and main were excellent. The Italian restaurant had more atmosphere, better service and was more reasonably priced.
