  Good spa hotel

  The hotel very good and correct in terms of rooms,, facilities both the hotel and the spa, very friendly and attentive staff, buffet meals , varied and good in addition to varied and abundant fruit in all meals , location .good to visit areas of Galicia, Santiago , Pontevesra, La Toxa......a good spa hotel.   The worst part of the meals can only be considered "buffet" because you have to go and get what you prefer, of course, there are only two options meat or fish and both are, in my opinion, processed well in advance and reheated again and again, or kept in the oven to avoid having to reheat them too many times, but either way, the meat is hard and the dried fish if it is fried or soft if it is egg-coated.The boiled vegetable with little flavor and separating the potatoes from the green beans, so they put two trays instead of one.Yesterday they put "elbow"... only the bone, the flesh shone by its absence.Today 27/04 rabbit in sauce and accompanying, fries (okay!) and mushrooms garlic, the rabbit super dry outside and the mushrooms were boat and without garlic.Every day, at least the three we've been here, there's green lettuce, green tomatoes and that's noon and night... no variety.Hotel parking, it is not very large but some customers already worry about making it smaller by parking above the separation line, so it is more comfortable, and when at reception I file my complaint, they replied that I take note of the license plates and that they would already put a notice on the sign..(?)..0 that is, total carelessness.!!And in the large and beautiful spa, they have control problems, it is not very normal that there are 9 jets in the pool and that allow 15 or more people to enter, half are left spinning on one of the sides.And elsewhere, the false ceiling is half down, giving a sense of abandonment.Too bad for travel to come.And I do not understand that IMSERSO does not care to control these problems in situ.   The spa is very well organized. You do the treatments in the morning, and at about 10.30 or 11h you are free to visit the surrounding area. We had time to visit, Santiago one day, Coruña another day, Vigo, Pontevedra, Combarro, A Estrada.... And the hotel, spotless.   This hotel is rated as a 4 stars, but is not. It needs renovation and up date. My friend and I when there after a Camino walk day and we were looking for an A/C room. In this area (Galicia), it is hard to find it as only a few hotels offered. at night we have informed the front desk the A/C was not performing very well. They have sent someone to look at it. In the middle of the night, A/C was not working at all. Warm woke up us and had hard time to sleep again. In the morning, we let them know our frustration and disappointment and ask to be discounted. They told us that we should call them at that time and they would changed us if room. In the middle of the night, who is thinking to change of room???? Customer service was very horrible. The even can't speak English, please! You are working in a touristic area!!!If you are looking to spend time in a thermal spa and hotel, you should not look at this one. We have friends who have booked a cheapest thermal hotel and had better experience .

  I do not know how this is rated as a 4* hotel - it is 2* at best!It is exceptionally over-priced for what they offer - we paid €230 for two nights, room only!!!Everything you want costs extra - €9 per person per morning or afternoon to use the pool, €9 per person for breakfast.The hotel is very tired and basic inside, the décor is very drab and the rooms are quite poor. Most importantly, the air conditioning is rubbish!!! Given that it is so hot, decent a/c is needed but the a/c is at best a gentle fan. Given the problem with mosquitoes it is not ideal to open a window so it makes for a very uncomfortable night. The bed is OK, but not especially comfortable.The corridors have an odd chemical smell in them, which is quite pungent!There is no Internet access from the room - you can find a WiFi signal from the reception ONLY.On the plus side, the bathroom was spotlessly clean, although again, it looked a bit tired and the TV is new and modern.I suggest you look elsewhere for somewhere to stay!
