    All you could expect and little more for a *** hotel

    Spent a fortnight in this hotel with wife and child of 14.You're not in a luxury hotel, it's simple, but fulfills the needs of a family wanting a beach vacation. First of all, an astonishing view, as construction doesn't exist in front of the hotel. Second, the staff. Young, helpful and extremely nice and polite. The room is simple but OK, with a small fridge, air-con, and TV. TV could be a little bigger. Near to very nice beaches, we chose Montalvo, just 1 km away. Small pool but very well kept. The food is also very nice and at moderate prices, wichs means the price of any other restaurant in the vicinity. Cleaning services worked also very well.

    I stayed one night at Husa Oca Vermar in May 2013, and had a very pleasant stay. I payed around EUR 40, including breakfast – a great deal in my opinion. Both the room and the bathroom were on the small side, but it did not bother me. I had excellent views from the balcony to the sea, which I appreciated. Everything in the hotel and my room was simple, but seemed very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and there was very little traffic noise from the road next to the hotel. The bathroom smelled a bit funny, but I think the room might not have been used in a while. There is free WiFi available in the room as well.The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and spoke English – but also put up with my Spanish :) The breakfast started quite late in my opinion, 08:30, and since there were only two other guests the breakfast was served at your table. But it was plentiful; juice, good coffee, toast, butter, jam, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, pastries etc. I enjoyed everything, and the lady that served me was all smiles and assured me that I could get more. The hotel is located around 5 minutes drive from Sanxexno, and 20 minutes from Pontevedra. I found the locations to be both charming and quite idyllic. The hotel pops out of nowhere, so pay attention when you are looking for it! It did not seem to be any grocery stores nearby, but there is a large Mercadona with easy parking around 10 minutes drive from the hotel. You can park for free right outside the hotel as well (and you do need a car for this hotel...)I would definitely recommend this hotel! Be sure to go for a walk down by the ocean.     you defo need your own transport to get to this hotel, what a great little village to drive through to get here, we stopped and asked a group of young girls for some directions, they were very helpful and pleased to get to try out there English skills!!!the hotel has a large free car park!!the room was clean and had a small balcony looking over the swimming pool and garden. we couldn't get the free Wi-Fi to work on our computer, but there are some computers in a small room near reception that you can use for free.the restaurant opened at 8pm. its just a basic restaurant. we were first in and from looking at the menu, didn't really expect much. the chef and waitress were lovely and very helpful with translating the menu and advising what they thought we should pick to eat!! eventually we decided. oh my life. my mum and I shared the paella - it was amazing, the best paella either of us have ever had!! not long after we had arrived in the restaurant it started filling up quickly, most of the tables were sharing a huge platter of seafood for starters, we had no idea what it was called, but it looked fab and if we ever go again, we will defo get it!!the beds were comfy and a good nights sleep was had by all.

    We spent a weekend at this beach hotel located near Portonovo in Rias Baixas. The facilit, ies are new and spotless, there is a restaurant, a café and a swimming pool. The bedroom, which cost us 45 euros, was big and even had a balcony looking onto the pool. This made it worth staying there for me, since I love sunbathing in balconies. The hotel is also very close to a couple of good beaches, I would recommend Bascuas, a nudist one. It is within walking distance. In the morning, after a good night's sleep undisturbed by any noise, we were treated to a very good breakfast buffet (included in the rate): eggs, ham, cheese, jams, fresh bread and croissants, orange juice, the whole lot. If you miss anything else, you are definitely spoilt. Good weather does not come with the price but it is very likely in the spring or summer!
