    Surpassed expectations!

    We stayed here as we had a wedding to attend in Villa Garcia. This place surpassed our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. Very friendly staff. Very nice bar and food area. Lovely pool that had a chilled vibe. I can imagine this place being a beautiful wedding venue too! We didn’t explore the local area much, but I would recommend for a long weekend as there didn’t seem to be much around and transport is quite limited (no uber or public transport). We hope we have a reason to return in the future!

    A delightful manor house just outside the city

    This hotel was a highlight of our recent visit to Galicia. The photos online seemed perhaps too good to be true, but happily, this place is every bit as good as it looks. It's one of two places in our experience where my wife has said "Can we afford this?" as we arrived. My best guess about it being truly affordable is that Villagarcia de Arosa is a bit off the beaten path. This is good news for travelers - our room was comfortable, the breakfast buffet was one of the best we encountered, and our dining experiences in the bar were delightful. The only glitch I encountered was, being a massive stone building, that wifi tended not to extend into the rooms. The upside was that when I needed a better connection, I ended up spending more time in the magnificent common areas than I typically do in hotels. Between the gardens/grounds and multiple grand rooms extending off the lobby, this was one of the most enjoyable hotels to explore that I've ever visited.

    Lovely building, great service

    From check-in onward the service throughout our stay was great. We'd toured the north of Spain and were using this stop for 5 nights at the end to relax. This hotel was absolutely spot on with a good pool and close to beaches and amenities. What made it for us was the service though, always friendly, polite and helpful. The service was led by the hotel director, who personally dealt with a issue for us - it would have been a trivial thing for him, and certainly nothing he need worry about, but he took it on and solved it for which we were very grateful. Just as good for families and couples.

    I must begin by acknowleding how amazing Vanessa and Alejandro are and how they made our stay simply amazing!! The hotel facilities are great, the rooms are very comfrotable, kettle, tub, safe, big closet, blankets, big tv, toiliteries, videt, huge swimming pool, delicious food, very spacious room, check out my photos!

    We stayed at this hotel for one night en-route to Portugal, and wished we could have stayed for longer, it is Fantastic.... The greetings and friendliness of the Owner and Staff was wonderful... The Breakfast was ample, very well presented and always kept topped up... The evening meal (we ate in the bar area - same menu as the restaurant) was relaxed and the food of excellent quality.. We have stayed in many Paradors in Spain over the last few years and this Hotel is definately on par, but priced at a lot less... The Hotel is full of character and charm.We will be visiting Northern Spain again in 2021 and will be returning to this Hotel but this time for a longer stay... So Many Many Thanks for a Wonderful Stay...
