This attractive hotel is situated in a great location in O Grove alongside a main road. Unfortunately this hotel was a let down. Room was definitely not as seen in the pics. We had a view of a back stairs. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't good with stale bread 2 mornings. Shower was lovely. Room was over heated and stuffy. I wouldn't recommend for a stay in O grove definitely better places to stay. The hotel for us was almost hostel like. They didn't reply to emails about transport to the hotel. Be warned the hotel is over an hour from Santiago de Compostela with very limited transport options. A taxi costs approx 150 to 170 depending on the transport company .

In constant renovation with its own parking, on the first line of the bridge of the Island of La Toja, very close to the fishing port of O Grove and an hour's drive from the main cities of Galicia and northern Portugal.We appreciate your attention towards cleaning, we can share that you do not like the decoration of the property.As for breakfast: always composed of natural orange juice, coffee or premium brand infusions and pastries and homemade breads with daily sourdough dough, gluten-free products, fruits, yogurts, sausages and countless products, we are amazed by its description.We feel the discomfort that may have caused the stay of other guests, and we invite you to express your disagreements at the hotel on another occasion, in order to give us the opportunity to find a solution to your complaints.Booking Departament.-

My night at Montemar was good. The hotel is a small but well located one. They offer for 5 euros/night parking for your car just behind the hotel. It's needed cause there are not many parking places in O Grove. Breakfast is complete and it worth it, it's jut 6 euros. The hotel is quiet so you will sleep well. The only problem has too hot in the room cause air conditioner was not installed yet, and in summer you cannot sleep with open window due to mosquitos and noise. But it will be installed soon. As i came alone they give me a small room, but engopht for me. Wifi was working properly.Defenitely, it's a good option in O Grove.

The man in the reception spoke no english whatsover, but he still wanted us to sign a document confirming consent, in accordance with GDPR, for the storage of our personal information. The room was OK and the town itself is very dull. The west side of the cape is much nicer.

What a wonderful hotel, check in and check out done quickly. The rooms were big clean and tastefully decorated, both with sea views ( although we had only booked one with a view ) the receptionist put us both on the same floor with wonderful sea views from our rooms (,and the car park easy to get in and out of also.)Lots of variety from the Continental breakfast, with sliced hams and cheese and empanadillas very tasty seafood style pies and a great selection of cake and breads etc, We did not have any other meals in the hotel, as the location begged to be explored and with a host of fantastic restaurants with amazing aromas, drawing you in like a magnet , we were in seafood heaven.Great location to visit Santiago de Compostela, and Vigo, we even got out to La Coruna. Great base, for a great night sleep, helpful charming staff, full of information of places to visit around there beautiful town. Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.
