    Beautiful quality parador in the centre of Pontevedra

    Beautiful building. Our room was lovely clean and spacious. Wonderful quality bed linen. We enjoyed sitting in the drawing room and reading. Very central and near to all amenities.I marked down due to the reception staff who were not welcoming or helpful.

    Wasn’t sure if this hotel was as going to be a bit Faulty Towers - but we were given a lovely corner room with a balcony and it was pretty comfortable. Service OK a bit surly on the terrace though. Brilliant location in the historic centre. No parking but parking garage only around the corner

    So fun to stay in this old historic building! The rooms were comfortable and full of character. We loved all the old-style furniture around the building; it felt like we were at a fancy house party in the past. The fridges are small and full of minibar drinks, so that made it hard to get our own breakfast food, but we managed. The views of the garden were lovely.     Curiously melancholic check in where we were continually pressed to commit to exact times for breakfast for the next few days. Excellent location and an endless supply of cafes, restaurants etc.Helena is a brilliant masseuse whose number you will need because the floors are the squeakiest, noisiest I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Put simply, it is impossible to sleep so if you want to sleep in Pontevedra this is not for you.They tried to charge us for bottles of water we brought into the building on check out, very naughty, they could have supplied water themselves.     We stayed here on our Camino pilgrimage. Our "room" was a suite! Best experience on our whole Camino trip. Conveniently located in the city. Clean, spacious, great service.
