    My favorite place to recharge!

    rating10 May 2018

The hotel is charming and clean and beautiful. The family spans generations and if your lucky Lina will tell you stories. You can walk up to church and beyond into a gorgeous forest with easy paths and beautiful Galician greenery or your path may lead you down to the sea side and happening night life. I can go on because I’m a huge fan but I will end promising you won’t be disappointed in fact you will be quite enchanted just as I am.Happy travelsSyl

Good place to stay if you have a car

    rating02 Oct 2017

They offer a free parking which is convenient. The rooms are renovated and new and quite spacious. They are clean although we found twice a relatively big spider in the room which we had to kill by ourselves (the owner didn't offer to do so). The staff is friendly and they gave us tips and advices of where to eat. The area is quiet and the room had a view at a patio. The wifi signal was ok. On the other hand, The location is good only if you have a car, without a car it's hard to access. The breakfast wasn't a buffet, you just have to eat what they serve and as much as they serve, although for me it was plenty. If you stay for more than two days the breakfast can be repetative.

Amazing! This is my happy place!

    rating20 Jun 2017

This is a beautiful hotel owned by a local family that currently spans 4 generations. The hotel is incredibly clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is genuine, trust worthy and wanting to please. The hotel has a top side garden with chairs to quietly journal your adventure while overlooking a beautiful ocean view. Wifi is free and available which made my journaling and sharing easy. This small haven, though close enough to walk to the hustle and bustle of Sanxenxo it is far enough to provide the quiet peaceful rest that I need while vacationing. Breakfast is deliciously evil! Do not diet while your here the food and the wine are just too good. There are beaches up and down the coast that you can explore. Amazing cities all within a driving distance away to discover and pilgrimage destinations such as Santiago and Fatima that are a day's journey away. There is incredible hiking my personal favorite within forest or thru historical neighborhoods made up of old stone homes. From your hotel you have an easy walk threw my favorite village of Bordones. You will see historical homes some renovated some not. A water mill converted to a quaint resturant bar, a street fountain that is currently still functioning, a village market owned by the son of Manuel Cortez whom the town square was named after and finally a Romanesque like church that I haven't been able to date as of yet. Generations of local families, whose ancestors played a role in making this quaint town what it is today, still live here and are so friendly and welcoming that you will walk away with a story and a deeper experience of this small farming village that you have chosen to vacation at. Juan and Lina, the proprietors, always have a smile and can't do enough to make you feel at home. The family have a vast knowledge of the surrounding area and have introduced me to different sites that I would have missed had they not suggested them to me. And if you are very lucky you may engage the matriarch of the family called Lina into conversation of what life was like growing up and raising a family and building a business in this sea side town, or you may have a conversation with the youngest of the family a smart little girl that will answer your questions quite professionally with a twinkle in her eye and a personality that is larger than life. I can go on about this beautiful place and I can tell you that this is the only vacation spot that I repeatedly happily revisit as often as I can but instead I will tell you that you will be lucky to experience first hand genuine Galicia with the help of these "Gallegos" that I love like family.
