    While walking the camino we had the pleasure of staying at this most beautiful hotel. The landscape gardens are magical. The food and room fantastic so peaceful. It was an oasis in the middle of camino walk. Breakfast was delicious Great selection Including some cook options. Our waiter was lovely and attentive

    This hotel was a delightful surprise, a blessing during our Camiño walk. It is simply stunning. The wrought iron gates open onto beautiful buildings, all decorated with exquisite taste, which continues to the well sized bedrooms. The gardens are extensive, with the delightful surprise of the river running through the swimming pool. It is a wonder the Camiño was finished after discovering this hotel.

    An amazing find. All you can do here is RELAX, relax, relax... and be in awe of the environment and the renovation of this once time factory. Room very comfortable - we were in the adjacent house , not the main building. The pool is fed by the river, and is very cold. The steak I enjoyed at dinner was the best meal of the trip. Its a long way out of Caldas de Reis if you're walking though!! I'd have liked to have had tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

    This was the most amazing stat in our 6 weeks away spanning the Uk, Portugal, Spain and France. The location and grounds were breathtakingly beautiful. The service was second to none. The rooms were a delight and tempting to stay inside

    Living a Fairy Tale

    This is now one of my all-time favorite hotels. We only stayed one night while we were biking the Camino, but it was magical, like we had walked into a fairy tale. From the huge bedroom with several windows for ventilation, the comfortable bed, the welcoming staff, the waterfall swimming pool with the refreshing ice cold river water, the immaculately maintained gardens and grounds to the river that runs through it, we were spellbound. We had breakfast and dinner and both were outstanding. The unique way the designer used the gorgeous natural and old mill foundations and surroundings while maintaining their integrity was astounding. The garden was breathtaking, and there were so many little details…period decorations, fresh flowers, and embellishments around the pool and grounds. So many peaceful areas with walkways, benches and views. As others have said, it’s really hard to describe the beauty and exceptional fairy tale nature of this hotel. But if you ever have a chance to go, do it.
