Excellent base to explore south Galicia

    rating12 Aug 2024

Spent a week with my family(two teenagers and my wife) during early august. Stayed half board since we wanted to visit Galicia during the day. The food was excellent, both breakfast and tea, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff polite and courteous. Only small thing was children(and adults sometimes)where quite noisy late at night, this seems to be a spanish thing. However, we would be coming back without hesitation

    Relaxing stay

    rating09 Aug 2017

It's on a main road which you have to cross to get to the beach. I thought it was quite pricey but as it's high season and near the beach that's understandable. Can't really think of anything else!Located near an excellent beach and the gardens are well looked after. The pool wasn't heated but was great and my children loved it. Plenty of sunbeds and a small bar to get drinks and ice creams in the afternoon. There was a football/volley ball area and a games room. The beach is lovely and we hired a pedalo, as well as visiting the small beach bar a few times. This is a great place to stay with children. The food is good and the waiting staff are excellent! We walked into Portonovo which also had a nice beach and lots of places to eat.

    Quiet and Cozy Apartment-Hotel

    rating07 Oct 2016

Great hotel, its not very modern like a big chain hotel, but its very charming. The hotel is quiet, slept very great at night. Everything was always clean and room service is great. The staff always greet you and are very friendly. The view from our room has a beautiful view of the nearby coast. They upgraded our room due to being nearly full at our time of stay which was very nice of them, and we had 2 bedroom, a large living room/dining room area and a simple kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove along with plates and cutlery.Price is excellent for what you get, you can find 5 day stay for 300 Euros so pretty much 60 Euros a night. We went off season though, July and August will be 2x more expensive, or more than that.I would recommend to anyone visiting Sanxenxo (or anywhere nearby), to stay at this hotel. Its just 1 hour drive north to Santiago de Compostela, 1 hour drive south to Vigo and 30 minutes west to O Grove.

Good base for exploring or just relaxing

    rating28 May 2015

Ideally located at the edge of the small town of Portonovo and a short walk from a white sand beach. Nice, clean, well fitted apartment. Dog friendly, Lovely large pool (no dogs) , beautiful gardens with plenty of sitting out places. A good base from which to explore the Rias Biaxes area. 30 minutes drive from Pontevedra. The holiday season in this area is June to September. Outside those months a lot of hotels & restaurants are closed. Restaurant at this resort is closed out of season, but its only a 5 minute drive into town,

    Lovely Resort

    rating01 Sept 2014

We spent five days here with our three young kids and really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are spacious - including a small playground area and the pools well maintained (they have a baby pool for toddlers) with plenty of sun loungers. There is also an indoor pool (which costs extra to use). The complex is close to the beach, which has a café, white sand and turquoise water. The local shops/restaurants are about a 10 minute walk and Sanxexo is only a few minutes away in a taxi. I would maybe suggest hiring a car to see other nice beaches and scenery. The staff were fantastic and really helpful - I would suggest a Spanish phrase book as this really is a holiday resort for Spanish rather than English.
