    Wow! There are reasons why Hotel Rector is both Michelin recommended and the best of the best on Trip Adviser. It’s simply perfect in every way. - Reception/welcome/concierge: informative and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. - Bedrooms: we stayed in rm 22. Beautifully appointed with a super shower and separate bath. Turn down service with little “treats” each night - Food: really great, personalised and with a lovely private bar for guests only. -Location: just outside the city walls so a few mins walk but quiet. The hotels inside the old city can be noisier given tourist, student a d vehicular traffic So in sunnmary: Hotel Rector is perfect ??

    Very well located within easy walking distance to the main square. Wonderful friendly staff that were incredibly helpful and efficient. The room amenities were off the chart including foot masks laid on the bed and a beautiful soft teddy bear. The breakfast was exceptional and delicious.     We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt very special. A luxurious room, wonderful staff and a perfect location. We never wanted to leave !     Having travelled the world for more than half a century, both on business and for leisure, and having stayed in some splendid properties, this place is up there with the best of them. Privately owned and managed by consummate professionals supported by an amazing team.Location, property, standard of conversion from a private residence (and it must have been a hell of a home!), decor, style and class. Fabulous breakfasts. We could have stayed in and just enjoyed the ambience rather than making the short walk into Salamanca old town, which is also delightful.     The perfect hotel to stay in Salamanca

    My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Rector in May 2026. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff who could not do enough for us. The hotel was decorated with beautiful pieces of art and sculpture, the whole atmosphere was peaceful and calming. Our room was delightful (well presented and spotlessly clean) we were welcomed with complimentary sparkling wine and canapes. The complimentary gifts continued during our stay and when we left we were even given a "goody bag" for our travels. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. We used the hotels garage facilities as we were travelling across Spain - this was very safe and secure. The position of the hotel was perfect to roam and explore Salamanca.If we return to Salamanca we looked forward to staying at the Rector Hotel again.
