I challenge this cowardly hotel to respond to this and dispute what I am saying.

I consider myself pretty easy going but my stay here was a nightmare and for good reason. Worst hotel stay in my life. No front entrance access due to construction, extra charges that made no sense, constant jack hammering and to top it off a major water leak that shut down a significant part of the hotel and disrupted many guests at 5 am. There were multiple guests irate including myself. I tried to work out a compromise with them but beware...if you didn't book directly with them watch out they will give you the runarund and treat you with disrespect. I tried on many occasions to contact them while I was there and afteward to make this right and they ghosted me. Fortunately, hotels.com (Expedia) stepped up but you should be aware that this place is not worth the risk. There are many nice hotels around that are almost certainly better and more worthy of your business. Shame on this place for the pathetic customer service they provide. Let's see if they comment on this post.

Good afternoon Mr. Garrison,Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear that your stay was such a frustrating experience. As shared in our previous correspondence, the water leak you experienced was an unexpected maintenance emergency that required immediate action. We understand how disruptive this was and appreciate the patience extended at that time while our team worked to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We provided advance notice of the exterior construction prior to arrival. When concerns about noise were raised, options were offered to relocate rooms or shorten the stay, though these were ultimately not pursued. Access to the main entrance was only briefly impacted for a few hours during daytime active work, specifically for guest safety. With respect to all third-party booked reservations, any changes such as length of stay or occupancy adjustments must be processed through that platform. We recognize this can sometimes create confusion, and the staff always do their best to assist where possible.Following your stay, I did respond directly to your email and provided a partial refund in recognition of the inconvenience. I am sorry that despite these efforts, your experience did not meet expectations. With regards,Rachel Dickinson General Manager

Potential Construction Nightmare
02 Feb 2026
Very nice hotel, with some nice amenities & fabulous location. Rooms are comfy with little kitchenette's offering all utensils for a small charge. It faces the harbour which mostly is wonderful EXCEPT they are doing some major harbour front renovations with excavators & cranes operating across the street all day. We checked in on a Sunday for 3 days and all was good until Monday morning and the work started. It would have been appropriate for them to advise of the construction and placed us on the opposite side of the building, sadly they did not! The noise is excruciatingly loud until the early evening. I like the room a lot, but the lack of disclosure was unacceptable and I will not stay here again...they lost a loyal customer. Make sure you check on the construction progress before reserving!!!!

Thank you for your review and for your kind comments about our location, amenities, and guest rooms—we’re very glad to hear you enjoyed those aspects of your stay.I’m truly sorry, however, that the construction activity across the harbour impacted your experience. We understand how disruptive that level of noise can be, particularly when it begins early in the day and continues for extended periods. While the work taking place is external to the hotel and outside of our control, we do make every effort to inform guests in advance through our website, booking channels, and pre-arrival communications whenever we are aware of nearby projects. We also do our best to accommodate room placement requests where possible, based on availability at the time of arrival. I’m sorry that in this case we did not have the opportunity to relocate you to a quieter area during your stay.Your feedback is appreciated, and we will continue working to ensure communication around nearby construction is as clear as possible.Thank you again for sharing your experience.Kind regards,Rachel DickinsonGeneral Manager

Overall ok stay
31 Dec 2025
Overall location is good in proximity to other hotels and being central to the Victoria tourist area with easy parking.Initial pricing was good, however a surprise upcharge at checkin of $20 per night for a 16 y/o child set it off on the wrong foot - which is a first for me when booking any hotel.Rooms were good size with small kitchen. Toaster came in handy as breakfast area was not well equipped. Trays were provided to take food up to room which worked put well. Food options ran out early and were not available after, so plan to take food up early in the breakfast window.Bathroom had a bit of a mildew smell but water pressure was great. No noise from outside the room. Rooms had balcony which was nice.Overall an ok stay, but if you have older children, be prepared to pay more than initial booked price.

Thank you for your review and for highlighting our central location, parking convenience, and in-room amenities. We are glad to hear those aspects contributed positively to your stay.I’m sorry for the frustration regarding the additional charge at check-in. Our rates are based on occupancy, and additional guest fees can apply depending on the number of guests included in the original reservation. This information is outlined at the time of booking; however, we understand it can sometimes come as a surprise, and we appreciate your feedback on how this is communicated.Thank you as well for your comments regarding breakfast. We’re pleased the in-room setup worked well for you, though I’m sorry to hear that availability during the breakfast period did not meet expectations. This is something we will continue to review with our team.We also appreciate you noting the concern with the bathroom odour. This is not the standard we aim for, and we will be following up with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to address it.We’re glad to hear there were several aspects of your stay you enjoyed, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.Sincerely,Rachel DickinsonGeneral Manager

Great place! Needs new toilets though!
24 Nov 2025
Everything is great, balcony, kitchen, view, hosts, location. Except for the toilet in my room is outdated and not an elongated bowl, if you want my 5 star review, gonna have to update the toilet.
