  Incredible Parador with super architecture.

  Sadly the weather conspired against us planning to explore the city fully, but the Parador itself is full of fantastic architecture. Great food in the restaurant & the bar/cafeteria area is worth a visit just to stare at the archway! Good walk-in shower as well, no more hopping into/out of a wet & slippery bath tub, safe at last!   Amazing building in a fantastic location

  We travelled with a group of 30+ on a driving hotel and stayed for 2 nights on a dinner bed and breakfast basisThe building is fantastic and blessed with great views. Our room was fine. Limited parking at the rear of the hotel. However in common with the other paradores we stayed in (6 in total) the service and food did not fully live up to the quality of the accommodation. The food was really only OK and service had a few lapses.   The hotel was good and in a great location but the service was poor , the staff were miserable and I felt they did not like us because we were English and they had to try a little harder. The attentiveness at the cafe and breakfast were especially poor. We have stayed in many Paradores throughout Spain and we have never experienced this before.   Magnificent building and setting but very impersonal

  This a really dramatic setting and hotel and as we were on a historic pilgrimage it was perfect. Our room was fine, very plain and not luxurious but comfortable. I enjoyed sitting in the courtyard watching the storks but we spent most of our time outside in the town. The breakfast was fine but we didn’t rate the cooked eggs ordered from the kitchen (and we weren’t actually told about it as an option, we just noticed other people ordering). The reception staff were pleasant enough but it would just have been nice if they had smiled. We didn’t feel as if we were that valued as guests as a result.   Poorly maintained property

  Such a disappointment- assigned a room with no view whatsoever looking directly onto a roof and wall. Told no other rooms available. Bed ridiculously hard. Place poorly maintained with broken crockery and empty bottles left on terrace overnight. The area around the entrance to the garden a disgrace.l with dead pot plants, mucky rags and other detritus. Unfriendly receptionist. The one saving grace was a decent breakfast.
