Beautiful Setting...BETTER if Staff Were Friendlier!

STUNNING, small hotel in a former mansion. Rock-facades, wood-trimmed doors and windows were beautiful! Each window/door to the exterior had views of the Cathedral...which is probably the main reason why you book here!Conveniently located as well. Best to take a taxi there as roads were winding and narrow.My only complaint was the female concierge in her 30s with the glasses. She had an attitude upon check-in, then I just passed it off as a "bad day". Noticed that she - or the other concierges - barely lifted their heads to greet guests as they came in/out of the hotel. Very odd for a highly rated hotel.Upon check-out, I handed her my keys with the paper slip with name, room #, etc on it. Instead of disposing of it in the recycling bin discreetly, as a normal person would do, she ripped it up as I stood in front of her. I thought that was passive aggressive act and rather rude. She also acted as if she was doing me a favour when I asked her to call me a taxi.Aside from checking-in/out of the hotel, I barely interacted with the concierge, but I felt as though they could use better training. Simple things like being more friendly, greeting people, etc. This one particular female just seemed to hate her job.It didn't ruin my vacation, it just didn't leave me with a very positive image of the hotel.

Beautifully situated. Very quiet rooms and well appointed. A tip is to ensure if driving to head for parking Historico and do not be concerned to drive through a restricted zone as this is the only way to access this parking and only 1 min after entering old town. Overnight will cost you 17€. Hotel is a short effortless 5 min walk from the parking. Only low point. Breakfast needs to be upgraded for the standard of hotel that it is

What a shame

After a late check in and difficulty finding the carpark, we were delighted to find this lovely hotel in a great location. The two receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly. Tired after a long day’s driving with our dog (really well received and I might be biased, very well behaved!) we agreed to have breakfast the next day. On reflection, due to the fact we had a 6 hour drive ahead of us, we decided to cancel breakfast at 07.10 and try to miss some of the early morning traffic. This is when our experience became extremely unsatisfactory. I spoke with the receptionist who said we had to pay because breakfast had already been prepared for us. I questioned this because we hadn’t yet placed an order and there was still 20 minutes to go before breakfast even opened! Very disappointing and to be honest will put us off staying at a Sercotel hotel in future. What a shame as before this, the review would have been five star but 26 euros for nothing is excessive. Disappointing lack of discretion and flexibility ??

The Hotel is situated directly opposite the rear of the Cathedral. You’re close to all the Old Town amenities with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Comfortable room and nice buffet breakfast choices. Hotel has limited underground parking and access is very tight. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel. Elizabeth on reception was very helpful.

With limited time to see Salamanca we went for a super centrally located hotel. Very modern feel and updated interior. Friendly but not over the top service. Very well priced even for low season. Very nice breakfast and the parking, although a tight squeeze for our SUV was excellent, but over-priced. I would not look for an alternative should I return but would be happy to stay here again again.
