Good place for family holidays plenty of variety , motorhomes, campervans, etc and fixed cabins. Shop on site is very handy. Washing machines not working and no toilets near to beach, which was a pain when desperate. Only one toilet block.. Para aclarar, las instalaciones y servicios del resort funcionan según la temporada y las condiciones indicadas al reservar, incluyendo horarios de piscinas y restauración.Equipo Alannia Els Prats

    Pleasant location with some drawbacks

    rating17 Sept 2024

At first glance this looks an idyllic spot but sadly there are some negatives. If it's a beach holiday you're looking for this isn't really suitable for small children or older people with mobility issues. The narrow, sometimes disappearing, beach, has a very steep, stoney entry into the sea and you'll soon be out of your depth. If the waves are strong this can cause difficulties. However, the pool area is excellent albeit rather lacking in shade. The restaurant is a joke. There is no menu and you are seriously expected to pre-book for 8pm and hope you'll like what they have to offer. The takeaway shop offering pizza and chicken is good, however. The toilet block is clean but the showers are falling into disrepair with some of them unusable. Having said all the above, we quite enjoyed our stay and rather than move on I tried to book extra nights but all pitches were full... so they must think they're doing enough?!

    Adequate stay facilities, pleasant beach

    rating30 Aug 2024

The geographic aspects of this campsite are by far its best properties. It borders directly onto a very nice Mediterranean beach with cooling breeze, worth paying the extra for a beach front plot (though expect intruders, as all the beach front properties are used for beach access by all and any guests). The campsite is also nice and flat. However thats the end of the good points. Staff, particularly reception, were un-welcoming and borderline rude (with the exception of the supermarket staff who were very nice). There is wifi but it was so poorly explained by reception staff we never managed to connect until the last night. The pool area is far too small for the number of campsite guests making it a cramped and stressy environment. The bins are constantly overflowing, including dog poo bins around the site. While there is plenty of dishwashing facilities, queues for showers (with poor pressure) did form at peak times. Maintenance was poor, this included long broken beach showers and permanently clogged urinals.

Alannia Els Prat Honest review of August 2024 family of four visit

    rating25 Aug 2024

Worth a read for those families traveling from English speaking countries.Overall a poor experience for a camp site priced at the mid - high tier price point. We stayed mid August for for seven nights in an Mykonos bungalow priced @ €2368 self catering our children where aged 7 and 12 years booked directly. Taxi transfer is straight forward and costs €55 from Reus airport and takes 22 mins, return is slightly cheaper @ €50. Arrival at reception is very underwhelming and really set the standard for the rest of our experience. We arrived late afternoon, where assigned our bungalow number and sent on our way little to no explanation on the services available just a couple of X's on a map. Our accommodation was the best part of the experience, room sizes are fine and what you would expect the air condition for a small place is excellent with units in the main bedroom and main living area. There is a small kitchen with all of the basics you need for self catering and the dishwasher is super handy and worked well. Décor is in relatively good condition all be it the Mykonos are advertised as "NEW" they are diffidently not new and look tired in places so I would be extremely wary of booking any of the older accommodation available. Cleaning standards prior to arrival are questionable and the place was grubby or dirty in lots of places. Showers where very dirty including lots of hair etc. etc. and smelled of urine from the pervious guests. Upon arrival all of doors in the bungalow where open and as such the smell of dirty toilet bowels was very strong and took some effort to air the place out again asking questions on the cleaning standards prior to arrival. The bungalows are right beside the beach with easy access. The beach of relatively small but nice non the less. The facilities:The pool area is nice and despite previous reviews we found the life guards to be excellent, attentive and on the ball in minding users of the pool area. Be aware you need to arrive at 9.50 to leave your towels and save beds or you will not get a place to relax. The biggest problem with both the pool and sun lounger setup is the sheer numbers of guest on the camp site. At times in the pool without being dramatic has users at shoulder to shoulder in the pool also leaving the water at a standard. As with most of the facilities on the site there are double the amount of users that I am sure they were designed for. Kids clubs and shows / entertainment are a no go if your kids don't speak Spanish. While the staff running them are friendly there is zero attempt to include English speaking elements to the shows or activities. This is fine obviously it is Spain after all and its their language but a definite watch out for those travelling from outside of Spain. The one positive I will add on the kids entertainment is the night time pool party. The pool was full re opened with music, lights and life guards which I haven't seen before from 9.30 to 11 30 pm which was great. Bar areas: Pool bar during the day is fine no issues drinks are reasonably priced service is good and token system works well to stop glass being left around the place. In the evening its the opposite it is CARANAGE with over crowding no seats and poor bar service. This is not due to staff or their quality but down to overcrowding versus services available. The Windcat bar / restaurant: This bar has beautiful views and is a nice spot for a glass of wine in the evening, additionally always seats for a drink available. Cocktails despite being advertised are never on offer staff are clear in that its purely down to lack of time to make them, again this talks back to the simple fact the site if overbooked versus service and staff available. The food in the Windcat is actually really good and very well priced service up until 10pm. The digital booking system is really the only draw back it is poorly designed and messaging describing its use etc. is nil. Overall cleanliness on the site is poor I really wanted to like the place but at the price point of a four star resort this is a solid 2 star Camp site and to be clear this is more a camp site than a resort.Transport / getting around:The camp site is on a main road there are no option to walk to any near by locations. Having a car is a must. There is a bus stop out site but services are poor. There is a nice town nearby called Miami Platja which is well worth a visit. It is 9 euro either way for a family of four. Alternately a taxi is €20 each way. Cambrils town is the other directly and is about 15 mins in a taxi and its costs €22 each way so costs to travel anywhere can get expensive over the course of a one or two week break. The supermarket:Is a definite plus prices are cheaper than Ireland or the UK for all goods and everything you might need for a self catering break can be found. its open until 8.30 also so really handy. Overall in summary:we have in previous times visits Cambrils Park and Sanguli camping resorts and while this location is priced and advertised in a similar bracket is it most certainly not I would highly recommend avoiding this particular location.
