    Nice Hotel, but Frustrating Fees

    rating26 Nov 2024

The hotel is nice enough, but when it comes to getting the frustrating safe fee removed from your bill, be prepared to argue for it. We had numerous rooms booked for a single night, a fair amount of business. We were charged twice for a roll-away we never got, and then also charged per room for the safe fee. None of our group thought to decline the safe fee at check-in. I've stayed at hotels all over the country, and the few hotels that still charge a safe fee, I can generally have removed when I ask, even if it's at or after the time I checkout. In my opinion, it's a sneaky hidden fee that a hotel only charges because they know most people will overlook it, because it's less than $2.00 and tucked in among the other fees and taxes. So, this Quality Inn get two stars off for arguing with my wife to get that fee removed. That fee shouldn't be on the bill in the first place. Guest beware. But again, that's the only reason I'd be hesitant to stay here again. If you can live with the safe fee, then this is a fine place to spend a night. I just wish staff and management were easier to deal with when it comes to financial matters. Small though they may be, it makes me feel like my business isn't valued. So maybe next time, I'll take it elsewhere.

    Poor customer service

    rating08 Jun 2024

Hotel refused to refund or transfer my reservation thru Exoedia a few minutes after I noticed Expedia reserved a room in the wrong city. I ended up sleeping in my car at a gas station.Expedia rep called multiple times trying to explain they reserved the room at the wrong location but they did care. No refunds and no transfer to another Quality inn. I travel alot and stay 10 to 15 imes a year at a quality inn. Will never stay at one again.

Stay here if you must but not worth the price!!

    rating27 Nov 2022

This hotel has gone down hill and is in desperate need of major updates. The furniture in the room are falling apart, there are stains on the mattresses and there is a stale cigarette smell in the room we stayed in and an odor in the hallways. The carpeting needs to be replaced as there were stains everywhere. I use to love staying at this hotel as it was close to my family’s house but sadly this is the last time we will stay at this location. The hotels on the south side are way better and cheaper priced. Either update your pricing on the rooms or renovate the rooms.

    "Quality" a Misnomer

    rating21 Sept 2022

Can't believe this place rates over a 3. I couldn't wait for morning to come to get out of here. Bed was truly terrible;. (Don't stay here if you have a bad back.) Room decor was blah. Breakfast was disappointing; we went downtown to eat because the choices here were mostly cold items -- a lot of white bread and sugar. The dining area was tiny. No lobby area at all. The "landscaping" consisted of two sorry-looking shrubs in front of the parking lot, with rusty chairs out on the patio. No nearby places to eat except Culvers, Hardees and a steakhouse too full to get into. Only positive might be the pool and hot tub, but we didn't use those. (Don't usually write reviews but want others to exercise caution.)
