Family holiday spread across 2 rooms. The rooms are basic but clean and as it is only a base it is perfect. The location is superb being only a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 1 minute walk to a small supermarket. Good was excellent with a good selection of hot food and pastries at breakfast with juice and coffee included. Dinner was always really good with a wide election of cooked foods and salads and always something different available every night. Staff are very friendly at the bar and drinks are very reasonable my priced with a pint being only 3.40 euros and served in an iced glass! The entertainment guy is fun without being pushy and tries very hard to make sure people are having fun. Cambrils is a great place to walk out to in the day and the evening with a wide selection of shops and restaurants.

Good hotel and area

Olimar ii is located near the beach and the whole area of Cambrils is nice. You can have beautiful leisurely strolls along the very long beach front but it is also close to the town centre where there are some good open spaces with some decent shops and busy restaurants with outdoor areas. The area is quite good for wheelchairs with lots of dropped pavements and very good for cyclists with separate cycle lanes everywhere.The hotel apartment was extremely good value. We upgraded to a superior apartment for a few extra quid and had a twin bedroom and a separate kitchen/diner/lounge area with TV. Both rooms had air conditioning. Some of the furniture was basic but everything was in good condition and the bathroom was lovely and clean. When we had a small issue with the balcony door not locking properly, the hotel staff had it fixed within an hour.We had a half board package and both breakfast and dinner had enough variety every day. In the evenings there was always at least 3 different meats available as well as salad, soap, chips, bread, pasta and several different puddings. The staff were more than happy to cook something different for someone with a gluten allergy and would walk around the food hall to point out what was okay to eat and what wasn't. In fact, I could not fault any of the staff for the whole stay.In the daytime you have the use of the pool where there is a decent bar and outdoor seating area. The hotel offers several daytime activities that we did not get involved with. Very happy overall. Just had a budget week at this hotel half board. We absolutely can't knock it for what we paid. The hotel is central, it's clean, in fact the maids cleaned our room everyday and we must have got clean towels 4 times. I would say the hotel is 95% Spanish guests but this didn't bother us at all it was nice to stay in a more Spanish resort. The food was much better than we ever expected. Something different every night and beautifully presented. We would 100% go back here, we loved the hotel and the resort.
