We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Da Vinci. We were very impressed with the room that we had. We booked a standard double room. It was spacious for the 2 of us with two large beds and plenty of space around them. Although dated it had some extras that really worked for us such as plenty of storage, not only a big wardrobe but another large shelf unit as well. There was a good amount of surface areas and a kitchenette making it easy to make hot drinks and snacks. The bathroom was not that large and you had to move the shower screen to enter the bath where the shower was. However there was always plenty of hot water and it had an opening window to allow steam and odours to escape! My only concern is that they used bedspreads that I don't think were changed from guest to guest as they didn't seem to appear in the cleaners trolly. (Management please correct me if I'm wrong) This is not hygienic. All of the corridors were carpeted making it quiet. In fact the whole hotel is quiet and peaceful. The hotel was clean throughout and being on the sixth floor we found the lifts to be very efficient. We were half board and there was a good choice of food although the deserts barely changed from day to day. The main problem was that the dishes were often just warm and as there were NO hot plates to put your food on, the food was cold by the time you got to your table as it was put on a cold plate. Also dinner was a bit late, starting at 7.30. The drinks in the hotel were good value and cheaper than most of the local bars with a large beer at €3.50, a glass of wine €2.50 and a 500ml bottle of sparkling water €2.10. There was entertainment every night starting at 9.45 (a bit late for us) but it tended to be 'lounge music' sung in Spanish. This is fair enough as the majority of the guests were not English speakers. In fact by the end of our stay I think we were the only British in the hotel. This did not affect our stay or bother us at all. We travelled to Reus, Tarragona and Cambrils by local bus using a bus card costing €10.95 for 10 journeys which is incredible value. The hotel is well placed for bus stops, shops, bars and the beach. Overall, for the price we paid we felt we had good value for money and enjoyed our stay.

A great base!

We had a lovely stay at Da Vinci, despite the awful weather. Our studio was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed including a microwave, hob, kettle and fridge. Admittedly we didn’t make use of the pool as it was more often in the shade than in the sun. Thankfully it’s a short 3 minute walk to the beach so we went there instead! The clientele in the hotel skewed older when we visited so it wasn’t noisy at all, and despite being close to roads, didn’t have any noise disturbances during our stay. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that unfortunately! But overall a good stay and would recommend! Lovely hotel. We were self catering as there is so much choice in Salou. Hotel is spotless and staff are lovely. We had a night in the hotel. Entertainment not great but drinks are not a bad price. Our room was lovely with great balcony. Would recommend this hotel

What a lovely hotel. Very central. The hotel is very clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The entertainment was a mixed bag to be honest. An all inclusive option would be good. £2.10 for a small bottle of water at lunch and dinner is quite expensive I think compared to the bottles of water at the local supermarket. The staff in the restaurant were amazing. The food was lovely.

The Location of the hotel, was really good, close to the beach, about 10 minute walk to where the shops and pubs are, the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfy, the resturant had a wide variety of food, it was a large dining room, the atmosphere was good, i thought ut was really value for money, it was the entertainment that let it down
