  Couldn’t fault anything, food was lovely with lots of options and good cleanliness. The rooms were fine and nothing wrong to say about them.   Great Hotel all round

  Near the airport . Hotel right on the beautiful clean . beach . Promenade been finished so a lovely walk along it and back. The hotel and all the staff to many to mention are lovely and friendly ,all work very hard . I went half board there was always something to eat n i am fussy . Thought the food had better choice last year though .. Hotel is kept very clean as the cleaners do a great job n smells lovely about hotel ,Room's had everything i needed had a sea view room on the 7th floor which was nice as the sun wasn't there after lunch time as it was very hot so nice for a wee cool down, before heading to the pool area which is kept clean and lovely bar staff , I had a great time on my own chilling n felt very safe there, . Hope to be back again for a 3rd time .   Perfect location but some dealbreakers for families

  This hotel is much better than it has any right to be, or at least that you would expect it to be, especially given the strong package holiday positioning. This was our second stay, after a flawless one 2 years ago, and it was again overall good, albeit some major failures.The location is unbeatable, the best of any hotel in the area. It's right *on* the beach, with both the hotel and the pool deck facing the sand. It's also a lovely boardwalk to stroll along. The location probably has something to do with the hotel being around since 1968 (as they proudly display throughout the venue), though you couldn't tell otherwise: it's been very well maintained and renovated, and we noticed improvements from even two years ago. The rooms are spacious and great, and our room was consistently spotless. One caveat is parking: there's no underground parking and while we had no trouble finding a spot in May, parking on the street is restricted from June to September; I would avoid bringing a car if staying during those months.There's an indoor pool, several outdoor pools, and the beach. There is also a kids club, with plenty of activities through the day, and its team is absolutely lovely -- one of the highlights of the stay.The buffer restaurant is overall good, though perhaps slightly less so than we remember. There is a wide food selection, and while individual dishes are hit or miss (I tasted some pretty bad ones), you'll always find many things you like. Warm vegetarian options aren't plentiful, but are more than sufficient. The bread was excellent. The one exception here is the desert/pastry area, where everything is always slightly off; it's not necessarily that it tasted terrible, but the technical execution is poor, e.g. the panna cotta always had far too much gelatin and the cheesecake barely any crust.So why only the score? Unfortunately, a few /major/ details turned what could have been a great family holiday into a stressful one:1. We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. It had no view (not expected for the room type) but was spacious and very nice. However, it set directly atop the pool bar, where the hotel organises parties every night until ~ midnight. Moreover, one of the balcony doors was screwed in place with a few millimetre open gap at the end, so the soundproofing was about zero. Why a hotel would think it a good idea to place a family with a young child on top of the party stop, I will never know. I tried to get us moved to another room right after the first miserable night, but the reception staff claimed the hotel was full. I actually believe them when it comes to the first night (weekend), but it seemed significantly quieter during the rest of the stay. 2. There is plenty of antisocial behaviour throughout the hotel. While it might come with the package holiday territory, the hotel could do far more to control it. A prime example of this is the use of the pools for ball games: despite posted signs forbidding it and CCTV cameras directly monitoring the pool, I don't think we were ever in the indoor pool for more than 30 minutes without a group of hooligans taking it over for some match, ignoring both the comfort and safety of kids around. The outdoor pool was slightly better given the presence of a lifeguard, but, even there this happened frequently without any action taken.3. It's insane to me that, in 2026, you can have organised kids activities taking place in the pool deck while also allowing adults to smoke at the bar tables surrounding it. It's already insane that smoking is allowed anywhere on the venue, but especially shocking around children activities.Will we be back? I still don't know. One great experience, one bad one. There's a lot to like here, and the issues have straightforward fixes if management decides to tackle them.
