  Good 4* family hotel

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite some bad weather. The hotel is around 30 minutes from Reus airport and in a quiet area, a few bars/restaurants 10 minutes walk away and the nearby town of Salou (20 minutes bus ride) is big, has a lovely prom and lots of amenities.Our room was pool facing and kept spotlessly clean but the highlight was the food in the restaurant. We were half board and thought the food was amazing with plenty of choice and constantly being topped up.Evening entertainment every night was above average and generally bands/singers performing on an outdoor stage or indoor stage when wet.Really liked the wristbands which acted as door keys and able to pre-load money for drinks and food around the hotel. It allowed both of us to access the room and order drinks without having to carry around money or cards.Staff throughout were excellent, very professional but fun too.

  Not for you if you travel without kids

  Went with my mom, 2 adults and this was not quite what we expected.It really is a family hotel first of all, as almost all of the guests had a kid or several with them and it quickly became too loud during breakfast and dinner. When we came, everyone was coughing, kids and adults, and we got sick on day 3. Did not expect to spend our vacation sick and feverish.The main restaurant doesn't have an outside area, so it feels like you're in an extremely loud and chaotic public canteen. The food was ok, a few times the meat felt a bit raw at dinner, like it needed more cooking time. No vegetables during breakfast, that seemed a little weird.Didn't spend much time by the pool as it is very loud there too. There is a separate kids area with pools and stuff on the other side of the hotel and kids pool with slides, but people also come with kids to the pool which is considered for adults.The room was ok, slightly dated and cleaning wasn't thorough, but housekeeping came everyday and the towels were clean. The AC unit was very dusty and the air was always very cold despite us trying to regulate the temperature, so we ended up sleeping with an open balcony instead. The balcony was quite spacious, like a terrace, but I believe it's not like that in all the rooms. Our room was on the street side, which was ok, but you can hear a lot of trucks coming loudly in the morning time.The hotel has a bar inside and outside by the pool, with a machine to fill up water bottles (although it says hotel green bottles only, but everyone filled up their own bottles too), a restaurant by the pool during lunch time and an Italian a la carte restaurant.The hotel has a nice location near the sea, there's a small beach a few minutes away, but I recommend to walk a little further in Salou city direction as the beaches there are bigger, have showers and less steps to climb down and back up.There are a couple shops and restaurants nearby and a pharmacy. This location is outside the actual centre of Salou, which means the area is not as loud and more calm. The buses are very cheap and come super often, so it's very easy to get where you need to go.Overall it was an ok stay, but not really what we expected, so wouldn't want to come to this or another family hotel again with or without kids.   Very disappointing!!!

  I am currently staying in the hotel. I booked it last minute for 5 days half-board for some rest and relaxation. I emailed ahead requesting a room with the sun on the balcony in the late afternoon on the street side of the hotel. When I was allocated my room at 3 pm, the sun had already left the balcony for the day. I returned to reception to request a different room but was advised that the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms. They asked me to call back in 2 days time which I did and was once again told that there were no other rooms available.In the meantime I have seen new arrivals being allocated to rooms on the street side which is where I had requested to be relocated. The entertainment goes on until 11 pm and is so loud it is as if it is on your balcony!They always say if you are not happy, say at the time so that the hotel has the opportunity to resolve the issue which I have done politely and without any fuss.Today I contacted Jet2 to see if they could resolve the issue and they have just got back to me to say it was not possible. So now I have to endure another 2 nights of the noise so much for a short break to have some rest and relaxation!!!
