This charming hotel is located at the midst of 200 m² of gardens. An abundance of shops and entertainment venues are located within walking distance (between 300 to 500 m away). It is approximately 500 m to the sandy beach and public transport is located directly in front of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 3 suites, 3 single rooms and 75 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.     Overall a very nice family hotel - room a little spartan but very functional - bed comfortable. Bathroom Ok but nice shower - plenty of hot water. Room would have benefited from a Nespresso machine. Breakfast limited but good coffee and nice bread. Pool area very nice - and poolside drinks very reasonable. Close to town and beaches. I would recommend.

    Peaceful Stay in a Perfect Location

    We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel and would happily recommend it.Ideal for exploring Tarragona. It’s in a quiet, residential-feeling area but still close to everything, including a bus stop and large supermarket down the road. About a 10 minute walk into the town/old town. There’s also a shorter (but steeper) route - worth asking at reception.All staff were helpful, polite, and professional. Special mention to the guy on reception when we arrived, who recommended a walk to a quieter, less touristy beach - definitely a highlight of our trip 😊We stayed on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. The room was a good size, very quiet, with a comfortable bed and a lovely balcony. The bathroom was spacious, had a window, and included nice toiletries. A mini fridge was also provided. A couple of small niggles (didn’t affect our stay) – there wasn’t a bin in the main room, nor an in-room safe (one downstairs). Air conditioning wasn’t operating at this time so the room was a little warm at night as day temperatures were rising. No English-speaking TV channels (for news). The pool area is very relaxing with plenty of seating, and the garden area is peaceful and well kept. Breakfast was served in a spacious room with a good selection of pastries and some hot options.Overall: A lovely, relaxing stay in a great location, we were very pleased we chose this hotel.

    Wonderful stay, welcoming and friendly staff, large comfortable room, quiet location and still walking distance to the center.Breakfast was good as well.The bar staff could use some training as they were not knowledgeable about their product or how it should be served, but overall, the Astari Hotel was a great choice.

    This is my fifth trip back here and the second this summer, but certainly won’t be my last. The Astari is a small hotel, located on the outskirts of the town, but with easy access to both the old town and, the nicer beaches. It has a small, private pool with sun beds and easy seating. The pool is never busy and there are plenty of sun beds. However, it is also the closest 4 star hotel to the nicer beaches. Perfect location and a perfect hotel.

    Amazing hotel, thoroughly enjoyed the stay.Breakfast was wonderful - coffee excellent. (No coffee machines in the room unfortunately).Staff very friendly and efficient.Room was small but clean, bathroom lovely and shower is amazing. Wifi is perfect for working remotely if needed.Pool was gorgeous and there was always a sun lounger available.Bar area was very spacious and they have gorgeous cocktails too;-)There is a few shops just up the street heading towards the City and a larger supermarket down to the right about a 5 minute walk away.The beach wasn't as accessible during my stay due to road works being done, but if you turned down the hill and walked along the promenade a bit you will find an entrance to the beach.Tarragona is an amazing place to explore and roam around with prices of food and drink quite affordable and enjoyable.Only a few minutes walk to the Mediterranean Balcony!
