    Good location but very poor quality rooms given the price paid.The bathroom was smelly, the sink was blocked, towels shoddy, soap dispenser container dirty.

    The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the sea, the rooms are lovely and clean, beds comfortable, food is good quality, plentiful and varied. However, sunbeds around the pool were packed in and didn't create a relaxing experience. What spoilt it for us the most, we're the illegal street sellers at the rear of the hotel on the promenade, setting up twice a day, every day, taking up most of the walk way, making it difficult, especially for those with mobility issues and parents with prams. For this reason we will not return, whoch is a shame and needs to be addressed.     Don't recommend this hotel or would never stay here again. Myself and my husband got very ill from eating in this hotel both of us vomiting. Our stay was ruined by Luis who is an absolutely horrible man in the restaurant as you walk in very judgemental. I went down with my 1 year old baby for lunch and he told me to leave the restaurant as I sat at a wrong table. All the tables set for 2 were taken so I had no choice but to sit where it was set for 4 people. I was only there for 10 minutes to feed my child and he shouted at me for wearing a revealing top and to leave. I felt humiliated and upset by this whole experience. I left in tears and mentioned this to the reception staff as there was no manager on site but there was no follow up afterwards. Everyday after that we were dreading going down for meals when Luis was working.Dreadful service staff in the restaurant don't bother taking drinks orders. Very loud music every night starts at 21:00 until 01:00 not ideal when you're trying to put a child to sleep. We visit Salou every year and stayed in Best Maritim Hotel last year and had a fantastic stay but this time I really regret choosing Hotel Augustus, never again.     We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was very clean, and our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, with mostly mature and respectful guests. The food was excellent, and the beach is just steps away. The only minor downside was that the mattresses were a little too firm for us.     Very nice hotel, great location so close to the beach. Friendly stuff, good food. Close to the main city, Tarragona. Beach was big and clean. Comfortable room, with nice sea view.
