    Shadow of the Cathedral

    rating29 Jul 2026

Situated at the base of an ancient cathedral this location is a dream. You step out into ancient streets surrounded by beautiful restaurants, a square full of life and plenty of refreshing Vermouth. Diana, Miquel and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are beautiful we had a balcony overlooking the cathedral. Travelling from Canada we highly recommend a stay here in beautiful Reus. Great hotel. Breakfast needs improvement.

    rating26 May 2026

Love this hotel, been staying here for a few years. Great location in the historic centre next to the church and a few steps from the squares. Great staff, nice rooms, good aircon, spacious showers. Pod coffee machines in rooms need proper cups though and a kettle would be helpful.I was disappointed with the breakfast experience which has downgraded since my last stays. The bar next door where breakfast is served no longer has comfortable seating just high bar stools. The variety of food available has decreased and is less accessible. It used to be presented nicely on a table now it is a meagre offering on the bar that is awkward to access. Hot food only available one of the days (scrambled eggs and sausages) and it was actually cold. Also miss the lovely breakfast waitress that used to work here she was an asset. Hotel Centre Reus, Atención al cliente/recepción at Hotel Centre Reus, responded to this review Dear Rachey6767,Thank you very much for staying with us again at Hotel Centre Reus and for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor. We would like to thank you for your positive feedback regarding aspects such as the location, the rooms and the staff’s service. We have taken note of your suggestions and will bear them in mind for future improvements. We are sorry that the changes made to the breakfast service did not meet your expectations. We have invested in the premises and increased the variety of the buffet without raising the price.
