  I would like to thank all the staff in El Paso for all your work during our stay.Staff were so helpful, location was excellent, rooms were spotless and food was lovely and fresh.From check in staff, to the staff keeping our rooms spotlessly clean, to the well organised staff at breakfast keeping the place in order and food freshly replenished and the staff at reception who were so helpful organising cabs and providing info.We could not belive how close we were to the park, literally out the rear door, through the gates and you were there!We stayed in 2 rooms which were located close together as per request sent to hotel before our stay. The rooms were spotless. Yes the bathroom could do with an update at some stage but it was clean and the toiletries provided were excellent quality.We had breakfast every morning, there were plenty of choices for everyone, especially my extremely picky kids. Continental, cooked, fresh fruit, cereals, fresh yoghurt, fresh bread and rolls, churros. Freshly cooked pancakes and eggs and all the food was replenished constantly.Check in staff were lovely and very informative about our stay eg. booking breakfast times etc. If you don't want long q's then don't opt for the later breakfast time, like most hotels this is the busiest time. We picked 8.40am and it was perfect for us.Thank you El Paso staff for our fantastic stay!   Awful staff especially the security!

  First day we arrived we had an argument with the bar staff! We ordered drinks and you had to pay €1 for a glass which you would get back one the glass is returned they didn’t tell you you had to keep the receipts my sister ordered 6 drinks and when we went back they asked for the receipt and wouldn’t give her the €6 back (we would give good tips but I think they do that and pocket the money for themselves) Then we had a problem with a member of security! We were at the pool which closes at 5 which is ridiculous as it’s really early, so the life guard comes and tells you you have to leave the pool but he said as soon as we go you can go back in at your own risk, which we did.. the day after this the life guard left at 5 we came out the pool then when he left my niece went back in, this arrogant security guard barges over to her and shouts you girl out the pool with a aggressive manner he then goes on to mock us because we didn’t understand what he was saying and ordered us to give our room number, we wouldn’t give him it with the way he was talking to us, he marched us down to reception and because my sister was annoyed she shouted at him and started make psycho movements with his hands. So we got to reception my sister said she would give the room number once she got the babies dried and changed she would go, he then grabs my sister then he put his hands on my sisters baby to stop them from leaving! Safe to say there was hell on she wasn’t having that which resulted in all the staff trying to calm the situation down! He was so unprofessional.Then we got a alert saying their was going to be a storm the next morning we went for breakfast, we were told no hot food no water, only cold food or cereal, my nephew who is two won’t eat anything other than scrambled eggs and we have a 8 month old baby who were hungry we asked if they could make just a couple of scrambled eggs and they just wouldn’t said they didn’t have the staff! My sister pleaded with them and even asked if she could just do them but they wouldn’t, and what was she supposed to feed her 8 month old baby? The staff did offer to make a Spanish omelette but he just won’t eat anything other than scrambled eggs, The hotel it’s self is nice it’s clean and some of the staff were nice and helpful but their is some really rude arrogant staff there too I really got the impression that they don’t like the English! And I really don’t think they cater very good for children even though it’s supposed to be child friendly, they don’t have any children’s cutlery! No glasses or cups that children can use they had to use the cutlery that was there which was too big for them to use! I just think they could make it much more child friendly and we wouldn’t ever go back to this hotel or recommend it to anyone that has children under the age of 5 PortAventura World, Other at Hotel El Paso De Portaventura World, responded to this review We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.   Hotel el paso wouldn't waste my time

  First day We got to our hotel was I nightmare we could check in until 3pm..we got there between 11/11.30am, still in our travel clothes couldn't get our shorts or swimwear for the swimming pool, wasn't sure of are sorounding, just got told they text us with a time when the room is ready, they put on the wroug colour wrise bands on us. So becareful. Me and my partner got childs brand where my 10 year old daughter got a adults one. (Pink adult green kids).Breakfast was OK, dinner was a waste of time where u had to go to the theme park to have Yr dinner, only used that twice, tea wasn't special still only used that a few times, just a waste of time booking slots for Yr meals. Rooms need to be updated, smells musty, damp. cleaner cleaned room everyday fresh towels everyday but started slaking after 3rd day has we had to ask for replacing things like toilet roll towels, beds wasn't two bad I guess.with only the swimming pool on offer and the theme park, there's not much to do for children through the day/ night and half of the lights didn't work going to our room. Theme park was good.It not worth the money I spent on this hotel and its not worth 4 stars.   RUDE, NOT WORTH THE MONEY

  I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times now, I stayed twice in my teens many years ago and last week with my own children. I remembered it being great for visiting port avantura and remembered it was very family friendly.. well not anymore. As soon as we arrived there was a huge queue for check in but only 2 staff on reception. When I was checking in the receptionist said one of my rooms had been cancelled and blamed jet2, this led to me having to phone jet2 helpline and go back and forth to sort it out after an hour and a half the receptionist said she “found” our room.. no apologies from her which I found extremely rude. Jet2 have since opened an Investigation into it. The rooms are basic at best and the shower goes every way but down somehow. My parents veranda door didn’t close properly. We were all inclusive and had to ware wristbands but that didn’t even matter because you have to show your room card for everything anyway. €1 for a cup just to get your drinks from the bar when it’s suppose to be an all inclusive. The food was meh most of the time especially at the lunch at the bar it was cold. Again rude staff at the breakfast lunch and dinner. The pool was probably the best part about this hotel although it made no sense to us why you were allowed inflatables in the kids pool but not the main pool. They shut the pool at 6pm on Friday even though the website stated 8pm which left everyone there annoyed. The kids entertainment isn’t much either just one woman on stage dancing. All in all definitely not a 4 star hotel by any means just bog standard in every way with rude staff. Definitely won’t be back!   Never a 4 star in any world! Check in was frosty, room is beyond basic (shower goes in every direction but down, no facilities for drinks, at least the bed was comfortable and the room was clean), food options even more minimal. I know the hotel is mainly for you to go and use the theme parks but when it is only open 10 to 6 there needs to be both restaurants open at the hotel. Don't offer bed and breakfast if you want everyone to be full board!
