    Not impressed.

    rating28 Sept 2026

We stayed at the Jaime1 3 times previously and had no complaints. This year unfortunately wasn't the case. The staff were rude and unhelpful which seemed to be aimed at non Spanish patrons. We paid for a fully inclusive stay but drinks at the pool bars were restricted to only 2 drinks per visit even though the queues were frequently 20 persons deep. We were a party of Grown Up's not teenagers! The only positive was that the rooms have been tastefully renovated, it's a shame they didn't apply the same to their staff. We will not be booking this hotel again. Guest Experience Hotel Jaime I, Director General at Hotel Jaime I, responded to this review Dear Michelle,Thank you for sharing your comments. We are pleased that you appreciated the renovated rooms, but we strongly disagree with the suggestion that non-Spanish guests are treated differently. Our hotel welcomes guests of many nationalities and the same standards apply to everyone.Regarding the two-drink limit, this measure is in place precisely to help keep the all-inclusive bar service moving and reduce waiting times during busy periods. It is not related to the age of the guest, but to ensuring a fair and efficient service for everyone. We are sorry that this year’s experience did not match your previous stays, but we do not believe the overall description fairly reflects the service provided by our team.Kind regards,

    not good at all/smelly hotel

    rating28 Sept 2026

Visited mid September 2 adults and a toddler, the smell in the whole building and especially around the pool was awful, smelt of drains very strong. The room itself was fine although quite alot of hair on the beds from the maids. The restaurant in the evening was so busy, we didn't even bother and ate out every night even though we went half board! The sun loungers all get taken by 10am! We actually sat on a wall at the pool area! They have lots of security staff that carry batons which I find odd! There are many areas especially around the pool that has broken/damaged brick work which is very dangerous if you have children! The big play park only has a very bendy climbing net to get to the slides so many children couldn't manage this (so the play park was no use at all) the inside soft play was handy, the staff on reception seemed friendly, breakfast had many options and great pancakes, however the eggs/bacon/sausage were awful. We were all kicked out at 4pm as they were shutting the whole hotel on 27th September which was a real pain for us, wondering the streets for hours before our transfer came! Not worth a stay id say, Far to busy/needs many jobs attending to/smells like a drain/hairy beds!/odd security staff walking around the hotel making you uncomfortable/evening dining far to busy that we didn't even bother. Guest Experience Hotel Jaime I, Director General at Hotel Jaime I, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased that you found the room generally comfortable, reception staff friendly, the indoor play area useful and the breakfast varied. We are sorry, however, that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Your comments regarding the drainage smell, housekeeping, damaged areas around the pool and restaurant congestion are important and will be shared with the relevant departments for review.Regarding the security presence, our team is there to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, and their equipment forms part of their professional role. We regret if this made you feel uncomfortable. As for your departure day, the hotel’s seasonal closing date required all guests to leave the property once operations ended. We understand this was inconvenient while waiting for your transfer and regret the disruption caused.Thank you again for your comments. They help us identify areas where further improvements are needed.Kind regards,

During busy periods, queues can occasionally occur and service arrangements may be adjusted depending on occupancy.Regarding the two-drink limit, this measure is in place precisely to help keep the all-inclusive bar service moving efficiently and to avoid even longer queues for everyone. We appreciate your comments and will continue reviewing these areas in order to improve the guest experience.Kind regards,

Won’t be back to this hotel

    rating25 Sept 2026

I’ve been to the hotel a few times. Seemingly new management. You Cannot face the sun. The management want all the beds to face the pool. If not your all inclusive bands were removed. You Cannot play your music on your own speaker. Your band will be removed. If you are singing Your band will be removed. It was a joke . Only a few of the staff members were happy and kind. The rest couldn’t be bothered with us. We were always polite to the staff. We were tidy. But for some reason the management just treated us like children. Removing bands etc. We definitely won’t be back. Guest Experience Hotel Jaime I, Director General at Hotel Jaime I, responded to this review Dear Anne,Thank you for sharing your comments. As a returning guest, we are sorry that this year’s experience did not meet your expectations. However, we must clarify that wristbands are not removed simply because a guest moves a sunbed, sings or uses a speaker. Measures of this kind are only taken when repeated instructions or hotel rules are not respected. The rules regarding sunbeds, music and communal areas are in place to protect safety, order and the comfort of all guests. We understand that some returning visitors may find these rules stricter than in previous years, but enforcing them should not be interpreted as treating guests like children. We also note that this review repeats the same concerns raised in several reviews connected with the same event. For that reason, we believe it is important to clarify the context rather than leave the impression that measures were taken arbitrarily. We regret that you have decided not to return, but we stand by our responsibility to apply the same rules to everyone.Kind regards,
