  So Peaceful

  The hotel was recommended to us by a lady we got chatting to in town who was also staying here. Only stayed one night. Very peaceful, quiet, comfy. The only downside for me was the breakfast, which was not great, & no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room.However, the location & wonderful staff make up for it. Will most definitely book again next time we are in the area.

  Very disappointing. The room was extremely hot and stuffy because the AC was not working properly. The shower kept changing from hot to cold, and the room/bed arrangement was not what we booked.

  The hotel's location is excellent and made it easy to explore the area. The staff were pleasant, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay.The room was clean and had a small balcony, which was a nice addition. However, the room amenities were very limited, with no tea or coffee making facilities provided.The biggest disappointment was the air conditioning. It is centrally controlled, so there is no way to adjust the temperature in the room. Unfortunately, the room was very warm, making it uncomfortable and resulting in a poor night's sleep.Overall, the hotel has a great location and helpful staff, but the lack of in-room facilities and ineffective climate control would make me think twice about staying again, especially during warmer weather. For this reason, not all Spanish hotels offer this service. It is generally more common in hotels that primarily cater to British guests or in international hotel chains with Anglo-Saxon origins, where these in-room facilities are often part of the standard guest experience.With regard to the air conditioning, we would like to clarify that each room allows individual temperature adjustment within a range that we consider to provide optimal comfort, between 20°C and 27°C. If you were unable to select a temperature within this range, it may have been due to a technical issue.   We had appartment 35 - it was perfect for a family of 4. 2 rooms with large double beds, air con throughout, well-stocked kitchen and a HUGE terrace with lots of furniture and shade.The staff were friendly and accomodating. The rest of our group was staying at a posher hotel nearby - and the staff there were much less helpful.The pool is nicer than it looks in the photos. Honestly, we are hard to please - and we were very happy.We have NO complaints at all other than it would have been good to have a brush and mop or a cleaning service during our stay. But these are very tiny niggles.

  ?????We stayed at Hotel Lauria for five nights on a bed and breakfast basis, and it was exactly the relaxing break we were looking for.The hotel has so much charm. You enter through a beautiful old colonial-style house with a lovely cool, air-conditioned lobby, before heading through to the hotel accommodation at the rear. Everything was spotlessly clean, and every member of staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.We stayed on the second floor and had lovely views over the small pool and across to the Mediterranean Sea. Waking up to that view each morning was a real treat.The location couldn't have been much better. It's only a couple of minutes' walk to the stunning viewpoint overlooking the Mediterranean and around 10 minutes to the beach. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful rather than a busy, bustling tourist resort, this is the perfect place to unwind.Breakfast was good, with a large buffet offering plenty of choice each morning. The quality was good, and the staff kept everything well stocked and tidy.The only disappointment wasn't the hotel, it was the food in the local restaurants. We tried several places, including some that were recommended to us, but unfortunately we found the food to be heavily processed and lacking in quality. Personally, I'd only give the local dining 1 out of 10, the one point being that we didn't go hungry!Thankfully, that didn't take away from what was a wonderful holiday. Hotel Lauria gave us exactly what we wanted: a peaceful, comfortable stay in a fantastic location with friendly staff, and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere.We'd happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet escape on the Costa Daurada.
