    I recently stayed at Hotel PortAventura while attending a business conference, and I was genuinely impressed from start to finish. My room was **lovely, spacious and spotless**, offering the perfect place to unwind after long conference sessions.The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. Even though the **beautiful pools were closed** during my visit, the hotel grounds still felt relaxing and well maintained.One thing to note is that the walk to the Far West theme park area is around 15 minutes, but honestly, it was a highlight of the trip—the walk around the stunning lake is absolutely gorgeous, and once you arrive, the rides are fantastic and well worth the stroll.Because our conference group had exclusive access to the hotel, theme park and convention centre, the entire experience felt even more special. From the seamless organisation to the unique setting, it was one of the most memorable business trips I’ve had.Highly recommend this hotel for both work and leisure!     Quite poor as theme park hotels go. Boring and functional rooms. Breakfast is annoying - I do not like booking a slot in advance and knowing we only have the table for 40 minutes. The whole experience was quite frantic with huge queues and food running out.The beds were comfy though and the hotel entrance to the park was good.     Fell short on what could be a grand hotel!

    3 star hotel at best.Whilst being close to the theme park was great and a quick walk to centre. Everything seemed to be very run down. Bedroom was pleasant and clean however a strong damp smell was in the room every time the air-conditioning on. The swimming pool was a great size, however pool was full of green algea and leaves.     We stayed in a suite at PortAventura Hotel in August during our vacation and visit to PortAventura. The booking process was somewhat complicated because suites cannot be booked through the website. Communication was difficult at times: emails went unanswered, and after booking by phone, I was told the payment had failed and that a payment link would be sent, which never arrived. However, the payment was eventually successful. This caused confusion and uncertainty.The check-in experience was disappointing. Although the website states that suite guests have priority check-in, this was hardly noticeable upon arrival. There is also supposed to be priority access to breakfast for suite guests, but unless you ask, you won’t know about it. Even the staff needed to check how it works. The promised preferential restaurant booking was also not existing.The suite itself was okay but somewhat underwhelming. Probably because a few years ago we stayed in a standard room at this hotel that was larger and more attractive.We only had breakfast at the hotel, which was good but seemed somewhat more limited compared to previous visits.The hotel’s location is excellent, with a private entrance to the park, which is very convenient.The pool is normally very pleasant, but during our stay, only part of it was open due to a technical issue, making it crowded. The wellness facilities were disappointing: the sauna has been out of service for years. This contributes to the impression that the service level has declined over recent years.The price was reasonable, but given the mediocre service, the price-quality ratio was not optimal.Areas for improvement: the service level should be restored to what it was a few years ago. All the services promised on the website should be fully (re)implemented and clearly communicated to both guests and staff.Upon checkout, I was still unsure, but I prefer other PortAventura hotels. I would only recommend PortAventura Hotel if you have never stayed there before and have already experienced the other hotels in the resort, or if you want to be as close as possible to the park entrance.     Needs a paint brush as looking a bit tired

    When we got to reception we were told we only have 3 rooms when in fact on our booking we had 4 rooms for family in which took a long time to sort out . Then the supervisor come out to sort it out asking us are we Russian even though we had British passports . Anyway when we eventually got to the rooms when it was sorted out our air conditioning wasn’t working it was quite warm , warmer then the rest of the families room so that had to be reported . Me and my husband who are over 60 were given 2 beds not a double bed and couldn’t push them together as there was like a unit in the middle . We didn’t complain about that but very disappointing . The sheets were lovely and white and mattress was very clean but I did notice that there was a throw and extra cushions on top of the beds which we put on the floor at night and I can’t help wondering how often they were cleaned ? Water in the park is very expensive and lastly we last went around 6 years ago and I find the rooms and especially the halls need a good paint and need a freshen up as they are looking very tired and scruffy .
