  Really enjoyed the holiday Staff very pleasant and helpful, this is a Spanish group of hotels and not all staff speak English tho you can easily communicate 100 yards from beach, water spring along beach - very niceRooms spacious. Beds & pillows are comfortable and the room cleaned every day.Breakfast was very good had plenty of choice. Lunch & Dinner differed every day. Lunch and dinner where never the same Salads where fantastic. At least 2 meat & fish dishes at lunch & dinner.   Oh what a shame we stayed here in may and decided that as it was so good we would return on our way home this october. I was not aware that we would be staying the penultimate date of closing for winter.Booked and paid in advance for diner buffet 15 euros each an absolute disaster limp lifwless lettuce soft tomatoes poor service stale bread a few un aperite chicken wings a few potatoes regular cold chicken nuggets no value even for 15 euro if the food is rotting or stale fit for one place the bin.Wauters ignored us never even asked if we wanted a drink Keep yoyr 30 euro and take a tip from me stay clised if you thunk that this is aceptable even if it is your last day Hotel Manager, Owner at Hotel Ibersol Playa Dorada, responded to this review Dear Trevor,Your willingness to visit us twice means a great deal, and we value the trust you placed in our hotel by returning.However, we are truly sorry to hear that some aspects of your most recent stay did not meet your expectations.   Pros - Very spacious and clean rooms. Modern decor. Hotel pools were quiet, no sunbed wars. Staff polite and helpful. Towels and bedding replaced regularly. Location wise metres to beach with a little gradient. Evening entertainment though nothing particularly spectacular. Girl from animation team who worked hard to put on something for guests. Reception staff tremendously helpful. Overall would say value for money. Nearby a few wee beach bars which were lovely.Cons - Food not so good. Definitely catering for locals. Lots of fish dishes, tuna/octopus/calimari/squid etc. Yuck. Desserts were the same every evening, melon/pineapple and a selection of small cakes. Personal taste I know however very limited choices. Food not labelled so unsure what was in it the dish at times. Every single meal I had to put in microwave for a few minutes to heat up. Throughout service very little replenishment so if you came a bit later in the process not much on offer. No consideration of guests requests i.e. asked for butter in the evening for a bread roll and response was not allowed, only in day time!! Asked for cheese or ham in omelette at breakfast. Again a direct no! Not a lot of English spoken and again totally understand we should make an effort to learn the language but would expect a bit of knowledge of other languages when in the tourist industry. Nothing much in close proximity and poor transport links if want to visit anywhere. Think maybe because locals using this hotel come with cars??   Well what can i say after booking this holel and reading the reviews after i booked i was worried ! The rooms were very clean the food was nice ! The restraunt staff very helpful as for the pool bar staff very rude and made you feel like you are something the trod in !! Maybe get new staff or learn them some manners !
