  An excellent base for our purposes

  Six years on and we are back post COVID with a party of 44 pupils. The hotel was full of Spanish pensioners on a subsidised deal of 10 nights with entertainment, half board and wine for €250. This keeps the pensioners happy and healthy and the hotels open. What a great idea! My first floor room was spacious and clean with a wonderful sea view. Cleaning is meticulous throughout the hotel. The decor is somewhat tired, but food is plentiful and varied. Packed lunches were a bit dull, but the fullboard option is fantastic to ensure children have been provided with lunch. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The beach is under five minutes away. The resort is quiet and not far from Barcelona and Port Aventura. Better in my opinion than Tossa which is a long drive to both. An excellent base. A very enjoyable return visit for a school party. I am not sure I would love it for a family fortnight. In that case it just would not live up to four star expectations due to the more classic decor and need of a crowd pleasing refurb.

  AVIOD VILE HOTEL AND RACIST TO ENGLISH

  Please avoid at all costs if you are English !!!Firstly we booked as a family of 7 on arrival we entered the hotel and the receptionist was extremely rude no hello nothing just stared at us I said we are here to check in as was a morning flight was only 9 in morning didn’t expect my room to be ready but she rudely laughed at me and said you can’t check in but bearing in mind I had paid full board so wasn’t bothered about the room but when we have been travelling all night with young children and we are refused so much as a glass of water even though we have paid for that day is a disgrace was told there’s nothing she could do come back at 2 no maps or anything given to us !!!I then asked if we could at least leave our luggage somewere she pointed to a door next to the lift !! No security at all just a door which when you open leads on to a bad alley for anyone to take your stuff I said is there no we’re abit more safeWas just replied no it’s your stuff leave it or take it !!So we had to trail all our luggage around with us with our 4 children the youngest being 2 plus my disabled dad just to find a drink !!!Not a supermarket in site all the locals are so rude not one restaurant was inviting us in we would walk to look at menu and was allIn Spanish and they would just ignore us or shake their heads at us cause they don’t want us there !!We ended up walking back to hotel to see if pool bar was open which it was but they do not sell snacks and only offer bottled pepsi or there local orange! We was finally allowed to check in at 2 they charged us tax per room £15.67Which is a disgrace , rooms are by far the smallest rooms I have ever seen I travel to Spain twice a year and have never seen rooms so small we struggled to get pram in the room as the wardrobes behind the door the bathrooms you can’t open the doors full because the toilets in the way if you was pregnant or a bigger person you would not be able to use bathroom it’s that small and the door locks get jammed which is not safe for children luckily I was on other side when this happened so I could help my poor child !!Balcony door also did not lock had to tellReception that sent someone up to put a new lock on balcony door the rooms are very dirty the fridge was full of mould and stunk thick dust all over skirts was just overall dirty !Food was absolutely shocking never seen food as bad I could not eat it was vile same food dinner and tea breakfast ham cheese bread all coldFoods but stale from day before there’s literally one option for children to a tomato sauceWith pasta every single mealMy poor kids was so fed up and was even a nice pasta sauceWas like the cheap tomato soup cup one was very powdery and horrible !! The meats avoid at all costs they have someone cooking chops but these are not cooked my children got them one night and had flesh in middle luckily I seen before they could eat them and looking room restaurant everyone was leaving them I have reported this to the correct people as this is not safe at all we all had bad stomachs the whole holiday !The food I would not even give a dog it’s honestly the worse I have ever had !TheStaff are very racist they would go round tables taking orders of the Spanish but would not comeNear us and would been very rude and ignore us when we would go bar I would have to say can you serve me ! On last day we sat in the lounge I noticed there was a few getting coffees and drinks so went bar to get us some and the bar guy said were not arriving you will have to go pool bar which is never open !House keepers always barraged in to our room at 10 the day we was leaving even though they tell you 12 is check out time !!Life guard also flipped on us for leaving our towels one day well we went pool bar to get a drink and we was there 30mins told us we’re not allowed to leave towels even though everyone else did then he sat laughing with the children’s entertainer well she dripped her legs in pool but told us we had to have showers before entering pool! There is no sun parasols neither just a few trees but everyone try’s to get to them I had my young children sat under one tree one day and I was sat on the end in the sun the life guard placed his child behind me so he could be in shaded then asked me if I needed to sunbath or could I move this is not a hotel for children I would hate another English family to go through what we went through please do not book look for somewhere else we go to Salou twice a year and have never been so badly treated I would in a hotel in England and there is no way this hotel would be allowed to be open in the us it’s that bad definitely not a 4 star and 1 star would be pushing it !!! We are sad to hear that our hotel didn't mach your expectations. Firstable we have to say that everybody its welcome in our hotel. No matter were they came from. Of course, also in Comarruga or El Vendrell. We are sad that you have had a different impression. Check in time its 16.00h according to the law but we let the rooms be occupied as far they are cleaning and ready for the next clients. If you are full board, first service included on your reservation its lunch or dinner. The bar opens at 10. All of our clients colud let their luggage in our luggage room if they have an early check-in or a late check out. This luggage room its near the reception, its close and its save. We never have a problem. The signs and the apdvertisments in the local shops an d restaurants are in spanish or catalán. That's because spanish and catalán are the co-official languages heare. If travel a lot to teh UK and i never found a sign in spanish. Check out time its at 12.00 o clock but you could ask for a late check out availability. The cleaning crew possibñy will ask you if you are abput to leave the room if the "not disturb" sign its handled at the door. We like to say again that everybody its welcome at medsur-hoteles.   I've recently came here with a few friends, we needed to keep costs low as we were just touring Barcelona and we thought that this would be the most perfect hotel. When I stepped into my room at first it seemed perfect, however with the promised balcony you can tell my surprise I was shocked when I wasnt gave the balcony and instead a wall witch had a crumbling indent and a window which locked and unlocked multiple times. However, i threw my thoughts away and tried to help clear my mind by going to bed, the picture on the wall had a squashed bug on and had multiple bug eggs, which were also in the lights next to the bed. Now, I pushed my thoughts aside and focused on the food. I got into the food court and was greeted with an unpleasant aroma. First I thought nothing of it however when I looked at the food the entire breakfast buffet was cold and majority was foul. When it got to dinner it was unpleasantly surprised when I had a tough chicken breast, I've heard of tough steak but this was something new. The entire buffet was ice cold and tasted foul, the only good part was the imported ice cream. MEDSUR HOTELES, Marketing at Hotel Natura Park, responded to this review Dear client. Firstable we have to say that if you visit us again in the future we have double rooms with sea views. Of course the price is not the same as the individual standar you have reserve. We are investigatin about the bug problems you have write in your opinion with the cleaning department and we couldn't find any reference about that. The hotel its fully booked (226 room) and theres no other complains about that. Anyway, thank tou for the information. We are keeping investigating, searching for bugs and cleaning. According to the cold food we are very asking to the rest of the clients and talking to the kitchen staff but still no complains about it.   Just been to the bar where i was served an Estrella which had slivers of glass on the rim. A piece of glass was clearly missing and acknowledge by the girl who served me. She wanted another 2 euros for a replacement or continus drinking glass slivers. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR...what else do they short cut on. Also room no air con which you pay for as its in the price, location is rubbish. 11 of us agree and would never go back

  We were in trip at the end of June 2019.The impressions about the hotel are not perfect Frankly, hotel is not 4 stars, old rooms, bad cleaning, bad internet, too noisyThe only positive thing was food.
