Pool freezing cold. Food was pretty much the same all week, not enough variety, esoecially for children, including desserts. Childrens entertainment was poor. Inflatables are not inflatables its a foam mat laid across the pool. Not enough going on in hotel for children, several activities out away to quickly to realise they were happening. Steam room smelt of dirty water so could not use. Had to speak to staff about other people smoking including weed on balconies which was coming into our room . Hotel clean and staff friendly. But not a hotel i would return to. Also rushed through transfer at 9am to turn up at hotel and no room until 2pm had to go through luggage in hallway and then wait around for 2 before we could do anything. No amenities in rooms at all. Salou in general a nice place let down by the hotel.

A short drive from Reus Airport.Very quick check in and as we were a group of 4 had rooms allocated next to each other.There is a tourist tax to pay less than £30 for the 4 of us.The rooms are on the snug side and a distinct lack of storage space, but are pleasant enough.The safe you have to pay for, The aircon is included. The fridge temperature was on the higher side so didn't really keep the drinks cold.Nice walk in shower with gel and shampoo included, the towels were changed daily.The location is quite good being near to port aventura (walking distance of 20 mins max).The beach is only 5 minutes awayThere is a supermarket 2 minutes away. The food is edible but not very warm and more or less the same every day. but will keep you alive.Drinks are comparable to local prices.We didn't use the pool so can't comment. Although we did see sunbeds available every day. The shape of the complex means it is very echoey especially at night so can be very noisy.

I found the hotel to be clean and some of the staff quite courteous. Bar Staff. This is a big let down for the hotel. Staff need training on serving drinks. Language barrier is a start. The queues at nighttime horrendous. Especially with the dreadful weather and everyone congregating in the entertainment area. I asked for an Irish coffee and the horrified look I got was laughable. The person serving me proceeded to set the whiskey on fire before adding the coffee followed by no cream just added milk and frothed it like a cappuccino!! We had to repeat and repeat what drinks we would like followed by 1 person serving to another with a mobile phone placing your order which became chaotic. By this stage if you didn’t laugh you would cry. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Food very repetitive. Chicken every night became quite boring. Some restaurant staff ok others didn’t care less and in need of training. Long hair not being tied back needs attention. Don’t ask for wine as I was looked at as if I was speaking Swahili.I eventually got a bottle of wine only for it to be red and not white. God help anyone wanting Rose. I could go on but you get the gist. Would I return? Definitely not.

Poor service at Reception and Reservations

Extremely poor service from Reception and Reservations.Our group was given a price when making the reservation, but when they arrived in Spain, they were suddenly told that they had to pay more. How is it possible for an agreed price to increase upon arrival?This is a group of pensioners who came to enjoy their time together and play dominoes, but instead they were faced with unexpected extra costs and very little willingness from the staff to help.Even simple solutions, such as allowing two people to share a room, were not handled in a helpful or flexible way. Everything seemed to be considered extra work.This feels extremely unfair and gives the impression that guests are being charged extra once they have already arrived and have very few alternatives. This is certainly not the experience or service the group expected.

Spent 9 nights here. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful as are the bar and cafeteria staff. The restaurant wasn't so good staff rude and need training in customer service, only used restaurant twice for breakfast as only thing we wanted was cup of tea food was not good!!. We did however have evening meal which was something else I was eating along came a young man lent across my plate and took my bread roll which was untouched. The rooms are small and not very clean shower had mould in corners and on bottom of shower screen, shower hose needed replacing, surely after guests leave these things should be addressed, it's unacceptable!! Pool area sunloungers should come with an health ? absolutely filthy, chewing stuck to plastic legs with insects stuck to gum, obviously been there a long time. People smoking around Pool and droppings cigarette ends on floor and in plant POTS IS THERE A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA. Pool snack bar ok but again staff not very polite. On the upside the beds were comfortable and location is good. I wouldn't rate this hotel higher than a 2 Star ?? it definitely needs attention in areas, sorry to say would not return.
