    I can't believe this hotel is classed as a 3 ⭐ it should be a 4star⭐ at the very least. We had a wonderful time at villa dorada . We only went half board but the breakfast was as good as any l have had, plenty of freshly cooked full English or every other type of continental type food.. fantastic. Dinner was also fresh and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was extremely clean everywhere rooms bars and dining room, spot on. Thank you Hays Travel for recommendations I'll certainly be seeing them again.

    We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was spacious with a large walk-in shower, toiletries provided, and towels changed daily along with room service.The food couldn’t be faulted — there was always plenty of choice and, in my opinion, something for everyone. If you fancied something more casual, the snack bar served the usual hotdogs, burgers, chips etc around meal times. The cup/token system worked really well and helped keep the area clean.There were plenty of sunbeds and lots of space around the pool, so no need to rush down early. The animation team worked really hard to get people involved and kept the atmosphere fun throughout the day.The only slight negative was that the evening bar/seating area could do with more tables and chairs, as there wasn’t quite enough seating for everyone at busy times. The drinks were also very weak and tasted quite watered down.The location is excellent too, close to all amenities and the beach. Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely return.

    Suspected food poisoning and the rudest bar staff you’ll ever encounter

    An honest review. This hotel has a lot of pros:- The rooms are nice, and spacious, big beds and we had a fridge in our room which is always a winner! - The rooms and hotel in general were cleaned regularly and always kept looking nice.The pool area was good for our toddler. A big pool and a smaller pool with the splash area. You could always get a sun lounger. - The entertainment staff and staff in the restaurant were great, so friendly and helpful.There were however a lot of cons: - My toddler had chicken on the first night from the restaurant and was then ill for a few days so we suspect she had food poisoning. - That being said, the food selection wasn’t the worst all inclusive we’ve been to but after that, we were really put off. - The RUDEST bar and reception staff I have ever experienced, I was regularly spoken to like a piece of dirt whilst trying to navigate the stupid token system. - The token system being a con all on its own, an example would be that I lost one (which is my fault but when you’ve got tokens, dinner cards, room cards that you have to remember every day along with everything you need for yourself and your toddler, it happens) and I went to reception to see if I could get a replacement and was told to just ask at the bar and they’d give me one, so I went to the bar, queued for a while, saw a man in front of me ask one guy for a token and he got one straight away, I was served by someone else who told me no then shouted at me saying I’m only one person so can’t have two tokens, I explained I was with another adult but lost one and reception had sent me to the bar but he still refused so I had to go back to reception who then just gave me one (could have just done that to begin with) just a total waste of time, especially when I had a wristband on which they scanned every time you got a drink anyway which tells them how many guests are staying in your room, so they don’t really need tokens. - The hotel is on a STEEP hill so be warned, our transfer dropped us off about 10 min walk away as well which isn’t the hotels fault but a warning to anyone who struggles with a steep hill, you may have to drag your cases up one! Overall, we won’t return due to the suspected food poisoning and the rude staff.

    Good points: room was clean with clean towels everyday, reception staff and entertainment staff were nice especially Sergio who was the happiest staff member in the hotel!food was what you expect from all inclusive...average but something for everyone. Bad points: most of the staff where very rude especially behind the bar, the drinks system for all inclusive is ridiculous if you don't take your cup back you get charged 50cent for another! The pool bar serving snacks would not allow you to get 4 items even though it was for a family of four with young children! There was no kettles or irons available to rent at reception when we asked. Wardrobes in room very small couldn't fit dresses in and I'm only 5ft! No drawers in rooms, safe costs 25euros week
