Nice Hotel poor location

Nice hotel mainly set up for familys with children with a nice pool, but no where for adults to sit and relax. All the children seemed to enjoy it though. I found it always to be pretty clean.Rooms were good and spacious with a good shower and ours had a sea view on top floor which was great.Food was good with a good choice, breakfast needs a hotplate as was just warm and evening meal is across the road but was worth the walk.Location was my only gripe nothing around the hotel which is on a very steep hill, cap salou looks really rundown with only a couple of restaurants so really quietWe chose to visit Salou every day ,with a buspass works out 1 euro each way and worth the bus ride.

Just spent a week at Sunclub.1. Location great. Cap Salou is beautiful. Buses from outside hotel to Tarragona, Salou,Cambrills, Port Aventura.Buy a bus card for 10 euro for 10 trips. Add 10 more for 6.75!Lots of nice places to eat.2. Our apartment was on 3rd floor, overlooking pool and sea view. Lovely sunsets. Well equipped. Cleaned every day, with fresh towels. A freezer would be good for ice.Comfortable bed. Poor TV channels. 3. Main issue was poor gym facilities. Broken equipment.Ony 2 bikes and 1 running machine. A few weights. Red hot in there, no air con or fan. We were told they are getting a new gym in the future. Disappointed. 4. Loved the area. Lovely coastal walk to Salou. Half way is a beach cafe La Llarga, went most days for seafood lunch. Amazing. Tarragona is beautiful. Had an amazing meal at Passadis, typical Catalan restaurant. Cambrills market. Salou in the evenings for dinner and fantastic fountain light show.A beautiful week, only spoiled by poor gym facilities. We will certainly return.

Very spacious apartments large bedroom. The kitchen is basic.. fridge 2 cooking rings & worktops.. large balcony. On a steep hill but walking took 5 mins from bus stop.. lots of taxis 10€ into salou town.. cleaning staff don't do much make beds that's about it which is disappointing.. had to clean floors & bathroom myself.. we were jet2 so it was included in the price. The Htop molinos which is straight facing balcony to balcony is very noisy at night but not sunclubs fault. Overall good holiday

Stayed mid September on a self catering basis, so cannot comment on hotel catering. The apartment was fine with all our needs met and a/c that was excellent. Hotel features a decent sized swimming pool, but it doesn't get the Sun on it until the afternoon. The hotel is located on a hillside with a steep walk down to, and back from several small beaches and a hand full of bars and restaurants. It's just a few minutes down but a couple of minutes more back up. There is a curry house, a Mexican, an American diner, an Irish bar and a couple of others. Thought the Route 66 bar was the best of the bunch. Pancho's bar saw plenty of our custom as other places seem to cater for the football crowd.Salou and Pineda are much more lively resorts and are just a short bus ride away. Get a travel card from the La Plana bus office down the hill from the hotel. The bus stops are right outside the office. Tarragona is a good day out for Roman enthusiasts.Some evening entertainment was provide- bingo, karaoke, Elvis impersonator and a kids entertainer who was a good watch. You will hear noise from the hotel next door and you cannot escape it until about 10.30. However your sleep will be disturbed by fellow residents. Most corridors and floors are tiled so you will hear chairs scaping, people moving about and being inconsiderate, but that's hard to stop.No representation from Tui and the lack of information regarding our return coach transfer was annoying. Has everything got to be done via an app?

This hotel has 4 stars due to its spacious bedrooms, aircon & fridge facilities, private balconies, free WiFi & 24 hour reception. A restaurant for breakfast, a large outdoor pool and a gym. I agree with many of the comments for this hotel. This is definitely not a 4, at best a 3 and that's being generous. Yes, the rooms are spacious and outdated. You have to sign in to the WiFi every time you return to the hotel, it's also slow. Breakfast was shocking, limited selection, hot breakfast looked overcooked or dry, barley warm. No allergen information on each item. Very limited gluten-free options as in bread and a muffin. I have never experienced such poor options in any other hotel in spain. The fresh fruit had seen better days. Cold water was warm. Sunbeds are so close together it makes it hard for people to access. A lot of the beds are in the shade all day. The pool ss freezing. Cleaning of rooms is 5 days of week. We didn't have our bedding changed, towels have seen better days. They don't clean, they mop the floor place towels in the bathroom and go. Didn't even sweep the floor or clean the bathroom all week. Very noisy from the H10 hotel until 11.30-12, hotel it's self is noisy from the entertainment, doors banging, thin walls I could hear the person next door snoring and coughing. Beds are not that comfortable. Apart from reception staff none else speaks. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel, it's very rare I say this and to give a poor review.
