We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Candido and was there for my brother's wedding which was held at the hotel. The hotel is beautiful inside and outside. Very picturesque and the lobby is spectacular. We were made to feel very welcome, especially by Diego and Kevin, and we thank them for their kindness. The reception staff were very helpful and the rooms and facilities are second to none. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, and they made our stay even more special as you can see they are so committed to their staff and the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nice place with poor rooms

Pure room- no coffee machine, no free mineral water and the worst thing- as this hotel is place for SPA and pool, there were not bathrobe and sleepers

Thank you for your comment. We would like to clarify that our establishment is a hotel with a spa, not a balneary. For this reason, in the common areas it is necessary to be properly dressed, and wearing a bathrobe is not allowed outside the spa. Towels are provided directly in the spa area for our guests’ convenience. We also take note of your suggestions about the room amenities and will keep them in mind for future improvements.

Nice antique hotel but skip the restaurant.

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, which wasn’t to my taste, but it was clean and spacious, and the rooms were decent. The shower was amazing. My only complaint, but it’s quite a big one, is the attitude of the restaurant staff. The first night I ate there I found the service to be adequate but not particularly friendly. I wasn’t made to feel welcome, basically. The staff were polite, sure, but there was a complete lack of effort and enthusiasm to be good hosts. Our second evening was awful. The mature waiter was possibly understaffed, and stressed, but he made no effort to hide his disdain. He huffed and puffed whenever we ordered anything, and as a result it made us fell uneasy and awkward. At first we took it personally but then he huffed some more when another set of diners walked in, even adding in an eye roll. The huffing continued all evening. It was so unprofessional, and something more akin to an episode of Faulty Towers. We reluctantly left a tip because we didn’t want to appear rude but he didn’t deserve a penny of it. I wouldn’t eat there again. The food was reasonable by the way.

Disappointing Stay – Beware

Unfriendly staff, pool was closed without prior notice. Only the spa closure was mentioned in advance. The hotel later referred to “small print” that wasn’t visible at the time of booking. Kids’ beds were not prepared, and the ground floor was inaccessible due to cleaning. For a 4-star hotel, this was unacceptable — even more so considering it’s funded with EU money. Never more!

What a lovely hotel in a quiet area away from city noise,a very warm welcome from hotel staff. great customer service from the tall blonde receptionist with curly hair. Room very clean with comfortable bed. I would love to come back to this place!Wenche
