    Excellend experience

    rating22 May 2026

Very nice , we had a room in a new extension and was down the street from the main hotel. The room was ground floor and the street was fairly busy so it was a little noisy but we could live with it. The room was cool , out of the sun , there was air-con but we never needed to use it. We had daily room service that went above and beyond , so special credit to the cleaners and the breakfast was nice. The location was also very good, not in the middle of Seville but wasn't too far away from the centre to be annoyingWorth the money and would recommend

Great Time at the Alcoba Del Rey

    rating20 May 2026

I’ve already shared my thoughts on Alcoba Del Rey but happy to share again. We loved our stay! This is not a modern hotel but it is really nice, There are intricate details in the interior design that take you back to a really cool place. Someone took a lot of time to painstakingly recreate touches that I’m sure could have been easily modernized and we really appreciated it. The light switches are beyond cool and finally the staff is literally second to none.

    It’s dark outside

    rating06 May 2026

We were booked for three nights in a ground floor, street facing room. The good stuff. The receptionists are all very, very lovely and helpful. They are there 24 hours. The mattress is very comfortable. The size of the room is generous and decoration throughout the hotel is quaint. Moroccan style. The water is hot and there is a bidet. The not-so-good-stuff. Deep breath. The bathroom is open, partly hidden from the loungey-bedroom section by a partition wall. You want to hear your partner tinkle, book this hotel. You want to smell the last download? Book this hotel. There is a beautiful bathtub in the middle of two wash basins, but only a handheld shower. Though I understand on the third floor, there is an outdoor shower you can book 🤔. There is a guest card somewhere about being frugal. Like filling a bathtub with water. Yes, that’s frugal. The toilet paper is of the sandpaper variety, 4000 grit if I am not mistaken. Two days in, my bottom hasn’t felt this smooth since my mummy took care of me. There is a TV on the partition wall opposite the bed. It is the size of an iPad. I joke. It’s the size of two iPads. I don’t joke. But no matter, because unless you understand Spanish, it is no good. I don’t need a TV, but it’s nice to have an international news channel going in the background. However, I find the Madrid tennis is on. I can’t see the ball, but fortunately I can tell who won the point from the reaction of the players. There is no iron in the room. We asked for an iron & board. They kindly brought one; the board is the size of an operating table for a small mammal. “Hold on darling, I know it’s nice outside, but I am ironing, just another hour…”!No tissues either, use the sandpaper in the toilet carefully when you blow your nose, or it will be red and sore in the morning. The first thing you will notice on entering the room is how dark it is. The smallest window. I suspect prison cells are mandated to receive more light. Otherwise, the prisoners will get depressed and revolt! Oh, and no curtain to draw to fully cover the window at night. I can see windows of apartments opposite us, that can equally see I to us. Including when I am struggling in the shower. Shower head in one hand, soap in the other. How does one do this?Careful not to adjust the bedside lamps, they fall down. Both of them. It’s like a game you can play in bed, you have to balance them and gently move your hands away, before they DROP. Which is good, because the free Wi-Fi does not extend to our room. It’s a hot place, Seville. So good to have some cold drinks in the bar fridge. Yup, you guessed it. No fridge in here. And the air conditioning doesn’t work. It’s not over. There is a water feature in the main hall. The sound echoes through the corridors into our room. It sounds like you’ve left a tap on. And makes you want to go for a tinkle. Did I mention the bathroom, I think I did 🫣. Book this place for one night. It’s quaint and your wife will forever appreciate all the other hotel rooms you book because you can always say, “…remember the place in Seville…”.

    Unique and Comfortable Moorish Experience

    rating30 Apr 2026

There are so many good things to say about this hotel. Its in the quiet safe Macarena neighborhood, just away from the core but still close to everything by foot including Santa Justa train station. The hotel style and detail is truly unique with its Moorish detailings, you know you are in Seville. We booked a corner room, one of the "romantic suites' which gave us extra space and a great view which were well worth the small extra cost. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable and there was even a bidet. The new windows open and lock out any street noise when closed. Staff are excellent and the included breakfast had a wide range of options including oatmeal. Will definitely return next trip.

Right by the Arc of Magdelena and an easy walk to many fine restaurants

    rating26 Apr 2026

A decent walk from the main attractions but easy bus line nearby. Right by the Arc of Magdelena and an easy walk to many fine restaurants. The open to the sky upper terrace was a nice place to relax after a long day exploring. Everyone was super helpful.. The architecture of the hotel was really nice and a great breakfast in the small restaurant/bar next door. Its primarily for couples but our family ( 3 rooms- I traveled with my daughter) managed with the lack of a door to the shower area. The water pressure and shower was amazing! Photos only show walk from the arc to the hotel.
