  It's neither a 5star hotel nor a spa resort

  We chose Limneon for its advertised lake view and spa concept, but several important details did not meet expectations for a five star hotel.The so called lake view is not actually a lake view. Instead, you mainly see the roof of the building in front of the hotel. Under our window there were two Daikin outdoor AC units running day and night, so there was constant noise throughout our stay.The bed is quite firm even with the topper, and the pillows are high and hard. We had to ask for different pillows during the night to be able to sleep comfortably.The bathroom is the weakest link. There is no ventilation at all, no heated towel rail, and no proper place to hang towels so they can dry. As a result, a towel is realistically usable only once. There is a kettle placed inside a closed wardrobe, which raises concerns about humidity and ventilation.This does not feel like a five star standard. The three tea bags provided are of good quality, but the two coffee sticks are basic instant coffee. Only two half liter bottles of water were provided for the entire three night stay, and even these had to be requested, as nothing was refilled automatically, including the bathroom vanity kit.When a hotel calls itself a spa, it is also disappointing that spa access is not included in the room rate and must be paid separately.On a positive note, there is a welcome drink and honey biscuits offered at reception, which was a nice gesture.

  We were very satisfied with the hotel. We had a warm welcome and very good breakfast. We also toon dinner and the food was delicious.The room was ok, but the shower had a curtain and water went into the bathroom..But be aware of the picture of the rooms on their website. We booked a deluxe room with lake view, but the view was partially obstructed by the roof of another building.

  I find really very interesting region- preserved nature, good food, more natural attraction. The lake is amazing!

  The area is amazing!The hotel is comfortable with good services! The persons, working there are so kind and always ready to give an advice!The nature are preserved and the air is so clean! The food in the taverns are fresh and very delicious!I hope i will come again!

  We are really surprised about the hotel as we didn't see the photos !!The hotel was excellent. Very nice location near the city and the lake ..The hotel is very clean the staff are very friendly and the restaurant serves very nice food , taste and fresh!!!

  A fair choice in the region

  We stayed for two nights, last summer, and the impressions are, overall, positive. It is a rather big hotel, spanning two buildings built in the ‘00s, but well maintained and elegant, with great views to Kastoria lake.We opted for a view lake room, with a terrace, which was conventional but airy and spacious, with all the expected amenities. Although big as a hotel, it is rather small for a resort: the outdoor pool becomes crowded and the breakfast hall/restaurant area, at the pick hours, is too full.Other than that, the indoor pool and spa were nice to relax, the breakfast was far above average, with abundant options (if one managed to avoid the crowds) and the service attentive and effective.It is an option I would surely reconsider when back in the area -and make sure you spend time in the charming city of Kastoria, which is a comfortable 10’ ride away.
