  A central and charming hotel

  This hotel is currently called NÜA Giralda, at least we have seen and booked it. The experience has been fabulous, we would like to thank the staff for their treatment and closeness and highlight how nice and beautiful our room has been. The Hotel has features that, depending on your age and physical conditions, make it special or annoying. I explain: it has no elevator, the top two floors are only accessed by stairs that can be somewhat uncomfortable (it was not our case); it also has no cafeteria, but you are a step from the Giralda and there are dozens of bars and cafes 1 minute from the door of the hotel. For us it was important to be in the center and this hotel is in "the target" of the center, and that the room and bathroom were comfortable (cleanliness is supposed) All that is fulfilled by this hotel, 5 minutes from the Giralda, close to everything, with "hundreds" of bars and restaurants around and a taxi rank to go away if you want. The rooms on the ground floor may be affected by noise related to the entrance and exit of guests, as the reception is right there, next to those rooms. However, since the hotel is in a narrow street where you only walk through (there is no traffic or concentration of people) I think the noise of passers-by will always be minimal (unless ill-mannered, people who go singing or shouting down the street) We were on the floor first.   We arrived at the agreed time, they didn't have the room and they spoke to us on the phone. 24-hour reception is a joke, it's shameful. We had to leave our suitcases in a room with people but there are cameras......and then the suitcases were somewhere else...and they don't charge much for the roomI would never return María José González Repetto, General Manager at La Abadia de la Giralda, responded to this review Estimado cliente,Gracias por dejar una opinión sobre nosotros.   Location was GREAT. Everything else was not good at all. We were two couples staying in two rooms for two nights. No one was ever at reception, the main reception area was dark the entire time we were there. The only means to communicate was through Whatsapp. No idea where to park when we arrived. Parked far away and had a taxi drive us, but he couldn't get close to the hotel due to the tight streets...so we walked a couple blocks with luggage. We had no idea there was NO ELEVATOR and we were on the 3rd floor. The rooms are Tiny. We were not able to take good showers in either room because the shower drains (IN BOTH ROOMS) were so clogged the bathroom and the bedroom would flood. Contacted the management via Whatsapp and was told the cleaners would fix the shower drains.....same issue the following day after it was supposedly fixed. Bed sheets are thin with NO top sheet and a thin blanket. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone really.

  1.Room in the groundfoor is small, looking as prison, almost no window. There is window but looking on the wall and nowere.2. Srong odor parfume used as refresment which is poison.3. Nobody at reception4.Mold in the bathroom and on the walls.5. They gave us telephone number which is available 24h a day but no answer if you call them. We neded a help but unfortunately nobody was there. 6. Cockroaches!!!! This is not hotel, this is something like hostel. If I knew that I would never book this place. We try to call them because my friend had problem with breathing this smell odor parfume as refreshment because it is very humid in the room and lot of mold on tha room wall and bathroom wall too.When we arrived you could smell parfume bit it was not strong because they kept all windows and door open. When we came back in the room in the evening smell was srong. We called themseveral times but nobody answer.I have sent to them mail but they needed a lot of hours to answer.We needed to change hotel to avoid going to hospital.I tried to come at hotel next day to talk with somebody but nobody was there. They told us reception is open from 10 AM to 6 PM. They take money from you and they don’t take care about you. This is not room what we have booked! Cheap but on the end very expensive. It is very shame and not profesional!

  Great location at a reasonable price, ask for a room away from ground floor

  Location is ideal. Room was very small but spotlessly clean. Exactly what you need for a city break. Our second time staying here, the last time we were not on the ground floor and I had no complaints. This time we were given a room on the ground floor which was just beside reception. I am a very light sleeper and it’s not possible to get much sleep when staying on the ground floor. There is a lot of noise from people coming in and out & the staff are noisy in the mornings. The doors are very light and do not keep any of the noise out. Not ideal if you are after a late night out and need a rest. If I was staying again I would have to request a room as far away from reception as possible.
