    We booked a room for 5 nights at the last minute after a bad experience with one night in an Airbnb. Highly recommend this hotel for comfort, location, large rooms, beautiful interior decorations, and front desk service. Giving five stars even though the hotel breakfast is pretty awful…old, tired food, unattractive appearance. Nothing cooked to order except for hot milk for coffee. And we probably had the worst room in the hotel. Room 11 by the front door where our bathroom had a sewer odor…not overwhelming and we were grateful for the space, plenty of strong hot water for showers, comfortable beds, quality sheets, good lighting, and quiet. I would say that you should avoid rooms on the first floor if you can because of the odor, but then I am extra sensitive to smells. And don’t eat breakfast at the hotel unless they improve the quality and offer à la carte items. The breakfast room in the hotel is understaffed, and over priced for what they offer. My husband and I are not fans of cheap little coffee machines in the room with coffee pods and plastic containers of cream. There is a wonderful cafeteria/ bakery only 2 blocks away called La Canasta, across from the cathedral. Eat there instead. They open early and the food is excellent. The front desk service staff at this hotel are excellent. Very helpful with answering questions and calling for a taxi when we needed one.

    Had 3 nights here and we couldn't have picked a better place. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were excellent and location perfect. Would recommend this place to stay

    Hotel Las Casas de el Arenal is charming, I and would say it is very good. It is an older building and has two or three internal courtyards, which hare delightful.The staff members are all very nice and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to all of the historic sites and also lots of restaurants.The breakfast bar is good (Continental Fare): breads, pastries, eggs, yogurts, breakfast meats, cheeses, and fishes.Our room (18) was quiet. We only heard noise if someone was talking just outside our door.We had a very good stay.

    This is the perfect location for exploring this fabulous city. Located a 2-3 minute walk from the cathedral with bars and restaurants right on the doorstep, this hotel is perfect. A tranquil oasis in the bustling city. Warmly welcomed by staff and instantly feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, high quality bed linen, plenty of wardrobe space, tv, coffee and tea, gorgeous bathroom with complementary shower gel, soaps, conditioner, everything we needed. Lots of hot water any time of the day. Breakfast had a good selection, cereals with choice of milks. Pastries, breads, eggs, salads, cheeses, salmon, cooked selection, fresh juices, lovely coffee to name a few. The added convenience of serving till 11 am, this suited us on our first morning following a late arrival. We loved the honesty bar in the evening. A nice touch offering a selection of wine and Campari, fabulous. Check in and out were easy and efficient. See you next year, thank you.Everything was perfect.
