  Not recommended - great location but not worth staying

  This was the worst stay and this property was definitely not meeting the expectation level of Marriott. Location is great and close to everything, but that is all. This property is old with very poor maintenance, and you would expect almost ZERO service from staff. We stayed at Thomson at Madrid just before arriving this hotel, which provided top notch service and excellent hotel condition and maintenance. Very noticeable comparison. 1. First of all, my family and I could not sleep well on the first night due to the water leaking sound. This noise was even worse and much louder at night in a quiet environment and prevented us from having a good sleep. My 11 years old son was not even able to sleep in the middle of night for a few hours. I have a video of it and reported this issue in first night. 2. On the second day, my family wanted to take a shower at around 6:45pm for early sleep (going to bed by 9pm) because we had to check out and leave Seville early in the next morning. Then, we realized that water pressure was too weak for shower and hot water was not running, so my family was not able to shower until like 8:40pm or so. It was also reported in 2nd night. 3. It was not a big deal, so I did not even bring it up until checkout, but the toilet was not working properly and it did not flush well. The flush button was broken and moving around, and although we flushed, it did not flush completely well so that bad smell always came up from the toilet. Then, I received 5K point courtesy point for inconvenience I had but I did not feel that 5K point was good enough compensation and replied back for reconsideration, but the hotel never got back. I received a property manager email address and emailed him (Pedro Márquez) as well, but they never responded.   Amazing location but major issues with odor and construction

  First, I would like to acknowledge that this hotel has an amazing location. It is just around the corner from the Cathedral and the Royal Palace, and most major sightseeing destinations are within a 20-minute walk.However, if you are planning to visit soon, I would recommend calling the hotel before confirming your stay. Currently, the entrance to the hotel is partially blocked because of a large renovation project around the front entrance. According to the hotel staff, part of a wall collapsed about a week ago, which may explain the sudden construction work. Regardless of the reason, construction begins at exactly 7:30 a.m. every morning with loud banging. If you are an early riser who plans to leave the hotel first thing in the morning, this may not bother you. But if you were hoping for a restful start to the day, it is something to be aware of.The more concerning issue for us was the odor in the room. There was no smell in the reception area or the hallways, but once inside the room the odor was very noticeable. It smelled strongly of mold and sewage. We are experienced travelers and always read reviews beforehand. We had seen a few mentions of this issue going back as far as 2019, along with responses from the hotel apologizing and suggesting the matter had been addressed. Unfortunately, this problem has not been resolved.Our room had a patio, so we tried to keep the door open as much as possible to ventilate the space, but the weather was cold and as soon as the door was closed the smell quickly returned and became overwhelming. Between the ongoing construction and the persistent odor issue, we were happy to leave. While the location is excellent, I would not recommend staying here unless these issues have clearly been resolved.   Los Seises was Superb!

  Excellent hotel in the heart of the city, walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was surprisingly spacious and welcoming, with a bright bathroom vanity separate from the bathroom/shower, which was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful, the downstairs bar was beautiful, and the rooftop bar offered a great view. Will definitely stay there again next time we’re in Seville!   We had never stayed at a Marriott Tribute Portfolio property before but this place certainly fit the brand category. This quirky hotel actually has ancient ruins you can view through the floor in the breakfast area!This place is on a "street" that even fearless Seville taxi drivers won't drive down so we had to walk a couple blocks with our luggage from the Cathedral square . Also a major construction project was blocking the hotel's main entrance and they had yet to clearly label the alternative entrance.The check-in went smoothly and our upgraded room as Platinum members was nice though the so called patio was odd. It felt like you were sitting at the bottom of a 50 foot pit looking up at the sky. It was nice to have an outdoor space but... Actually their rooftop bar has a fabulous view of the cathedral a few blocks away. They also have a rooftop pool but it wasn't open for the season.The room was large as was the bathroom. Good water pressure and hot water. Like many places in Europe the AC was off for the winter but we were able to open our patio doors to cool off the room. Being on the first floor and in the middle of the week and away from the rooftop bar we had a quiet experience unlike other recent reviewers.The breakfast buffet was part of our rate ( which was high) and very nice. Good selections.   Los Seises: A Tribute to Penny-Pinching

  At over €220 per night in the off-season, Los Seises charges premium rates but delivers a budget experience. As a Titanium Elite member, I found the hotel treats the Marriott brand purely as a customer magnet while refusing to honour the loyalty program's actual terms.The "Elite breakfast" is the perfect summary of their attitude: a tray of bread, jam, and margarine. No cold cuts, no cheese, and certainly no effort. If you want a real breakfast, you have to pay extra—an absurd demand when you are already paying these nightly rates. The stinginess follows you to the room, where coffee pods are strictly rationed to two, and water is limited to a single bottle.The service is equally obstructive. I was initially denied my guaranteed 4pm checkout with the lie that "Tribute Portfolio" hotels are exempt from Marriott rules. It took corporate intervention and an email to the GM just to get what I was contractually owed.They want the Marriott revenue and the premium price tag without the obligations.
