    THE BEST hostel I ever tried !!

    A big thank you also to Angel who creates an incredible atmosphere on the roof by taking care of everyone to feel welcome and he makes incredible drinks! A big thank you to Nati the housekeeper, she is so adorable: kind, professional, and she keeps the hostel so clean. Very friendly and helpful reception. Towels are provided free of charge at check-in, free cold water from the fountain! 100% recommended if you want to socialize or even relax! (Claire the French girl :)

    The hospitality at Joy was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lovely barman Angel offered recommendations of what to do in the area. My friend also came down with a horrible sickness bug on the last day of our trip. The woman on reception (I'm sorry, I didn't get her name) was so accommodating, allowing my friend to rest up even though we were meant to have checked out. She was empathetic and patient as it was a busy day in the hostel but was always asking of she could help. The housekeeping staff was really friendly and cheerful each morning. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend.

    We travelled by group so we had a room for ourself which was quite small but okey, The Pool is really cool and the Barkeeper there is a super nice guy who makes some of the best drinks we had during our trips. The problem we had was with the other stuff, our group was doing an exchange and we we're having some drinks at the bar when 2 of our local Spanish friends also joined us at the Pool bar and started consuming drinks with us, later 2 more came which were also consuming drinks with us, when all of a sudden the unmotivated Lady ''guarding'' the entrance aka just sitting there on her Phone all day doing nothing came up and started yelling at us and complaining about our friends, to which we replied nowhere did it state that it wasn't allowed and that they were paying customers at the bar they weren't even using the pool but she could accept that and was making a scene and wasn't making any efforts to resolve the situation, in the end we payed a fine for them to stay and shortly afterwards left and took our Business elsewhere, now the Rooftop Bar & Pool weren't full or crowded it was more or less just our group and like 3 other Guests who all didn't mind us so i don't get why they didn't just come and talk to us so we could have peacefully resolved it. We were quite baffled as we we're never informed about the policy.....

    Clean, comfy and central

    The hostel is really central, and in the piazza in front of it there are 2 bus stops from where we took the bus to the airport (you have to take the 32 and then stop on another bus stop for the Airport bus).It was super clean, the bed were comfy, and you have ample storage space under the bed, which can be locked using a padlock. (we didn't had a padlock, and we had not issues).If you're staying here, you can also go to the other Oasis hostel, which is not far from this one. The other has more of a social feeling. This one is more of a quite hostel.It offers free walking tours, which we found it very interesting. The bar on the roof wasn't open when we went up. It also has a fully equipped kitchen (although we didn't managed to use the coffee machine)One has to download an app to open the main and room doors, which is super convenient. If one is looking for a more social interaction hostel, I suggest you go to the Oasis Palace Hostel. On the other hand, if one is looking for a hostel which is more quite, and very central, this is a very good option.

    Clean, provides a variety of breakfast options, pool to cool off from hot southern Spanish days, free walking tours provided daily, helpful and friendly staff. Often a party atmosphere breaks out at night (either by design or serendipity) with guitar playing, singing, or trips to nearby free flamenco performances.Made new friends.Great time, unlike the hostel I stayed in, in Rome (RG Legend, what a disaster)
