    Mixed experience: Great service, but room too hot and breakfast disappointing

    We booked a room for three and received one with four beds. The air conditioning did not work properly, making the room too hot to sleep in. Breakfast was disappointing with old-looking sliced fruit. While the reception staff were friendly and the room was clean, noisy housekeeping in the hallway early in the morning further ruined our rest.     Althought the hotel is not in the main center, it´s very easy to get to with bus or tram. Family room was perfect for the 4 of us. Hotel Staff is wonderful. Everything clean and comfortable.     We booked a family room for two adults and two children at around £150 a night including breakfast . On arrival the hotel looks pretty nice and reception quite polite… first look at the pool… not heated and really small so quite pointless. Kids didn’t want to use it once. Room… lovely bathroom but the room very three star and basic. No tea or coffee which I find amazing even if it was a three star… such a basic must. Then came night time… it was like sleeping in the middle of a motorway. Sound proof? Not a chance. The one basic must in any hotel is a half decent sleep… this really wasn’t. Changed room second day which was slightly better. Breakfast… basic like a two or three star. If you don’t like bread you are in trouble. Don’t come before it opens as well because an angry Spanish lady shouts at you. For the price I would not recommend staying here. For sub £100 in a double room at the back it might be worth it.     Seriously worth the price. Our room and bathroom were spacious, there were bathrobes and slippers and all of the toiletries you could need. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked, and the staff were very nice. I can’t speak to the restaurant, but I would definitely recommend this place. The only minor inconvenience was the distance to the historic part of the city. I’m more than happy to walk and was able to figure out the pubic transport with ease, so just prepare for that if you don’t want to walk.
