    Just depressing

    rating25 Mar 2026

Horrible place, it’s so far away from everything and up a huge hill. When to u eventually cross the motorway you end up in a horrible place full of morrocans and feel scared to be out and everything is way over priced. The hotel is so old fashioned the staff are rude and the rooms terrible tv has no sma tv so there is nothing to watch, there are no coffee facilities, the shower is a hand held over bath it’s quite honestly one of the worst places I have ever stayed and for nearly £200 for 2 nights was a a complete rip off hated every minute of it do not book this area or this hotel it’s grim x

Good Stay but far from Perfect.

    rating18 Dec 2024

Good Stay but far from Perfect. We regularly stay in the Castledefels and Gava area before and after cruising from Barcelona. Our 2 night stay was excellent for this purpose and represented good value for money. Overall room was good and had a very traditional atmosphere. Room was very clean. Reception and staff excellent. Room facilities dated and in need of maintenance, especially bathroom. Grounds nice to relax in. Internet excellent.Hotel was very noisy on one night with people talking and drinking until 11.30, outside beside the pool, which was overlooked by our room. Access to the hotel is via a steep hill and not suitable for elderly, especially in hot weather.Bottom line :- would I stay again? Yes definitely, at the right price of course.

    Beautiful place.

Easy check in, very nice staff in the reception, restaurant and in the bar. Very good food and good selections. I noticed also they have several gluten free options for those who go needs that. Reasonable prices and the view is amazing. One thing that is not mentioned when ordering is the local tax you have to pay extra. 2,64 euros.

Worst hotel we have stayed in!!!!!! Awful unfriendly unprofessional expensive

    rating08 Jun 2024

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in !!!!Reception is a joke It took 40 minutes to check in as a group of men kept pushing in front of us my wife sent me away as I was getting angry and was about to teach them some Anglo Saxon manners!!!!We were told our room number and that is the only information we received!!!The room has no kettle or tea and coffee making options there is no information regarding safety in the room!!We were not told about what facilities were available and were to find them along with no information about restaurants times We decided to spend our money down in the town rather than use the hotel! This hotel seems to be for corporate clients and events you get the impression that if you are individual travelers you are nuisance It’s not cheap to stay or eat here and alongside the the complete lack of professionalism shown by the staff this place is best avoided at all costs Use any other hotel in the area as this one is not worth the money!!!!!!!

Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime, Castelldefels, Spain

    rating27 Apr 2024

The vistas are truly breathtaking. While the main restaurant exudes a pleasant ambiance, the menu remains unchanged throughout the entirety of our four-day conference. Navigating the hotel's hallways can be a bit tricky, with steps to ascend and descend in some areas, necessitating caution. It's advisable to steer clear of rooms with rugs, as they tend to carry an unpleasant odor. Accessibility to the town below requires a descent down a steep hill, necessitating a taxi ride back up due to the incline. The hotel, regrettably, shows signs of age and would benefit from renovations; noticeable cracks marred the bathtub, and basic amenities such as facial tissue boxes and complimentary bottles of water were absent from the rooms, as were facecloths. Room servicing occurs only after noon each day, with guests required to specify their preference for room temperature. Additionally, certain sections of the hotel lacked English-language channels on the television.
