We were in a hotel within walking distance of the railway station. The Galeon. Just a note to remember, the hotel has an annexe in the street running parallel. The room was more than adequate. A little tired but ok for a few days stay. The breakfast was first class, a large range of food to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal, everything within walking distance. Sitches is well worth a visit, great little shops and some very good restaurants.

We chose this for its quiet location and the pool area. We caught the bus from Barcelona airport, and got off by the garden centre which is only a short walk to the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke excellent English. We booked a "room with garden" which was in the main house, and did have a door opening onto a little bit of garden, with outside table and chairs, which was very nice, but we did get bitten in the late afternoon / early evening, so if you're booking one of those rooms, it's worth taking some insect repellent. The double bed was very large. The wardrobe had some hanging space and some shelf space - plenty of room as we only had a few days worth of shorts and T-shirts. The bathroom was huge with a rain shower, and little paper pyramids of hair/body wash and soap provided. Towels were changed regularly. The only waste bin is a small one in the bathroom, but when we had rubbish too big to fit in there, we just left it by the bin and the cleaner took it away, so that wasn't a problem. It's a very pleasant 20-min walk along the promenade to the old town. There are restaurants and bars and beaches before you get there, and also beyond. The pool was open 9am-9pm. We didn't go in (was a bit cool for that in October, although the daytime temperatures were great) but did enjoy sunbathing on the very comfortable loungers around it. Would stay here again.

Was a little concerned after reading reviews regarding the family rooms, but on arrival found the two bedroom apartment to be great. Large lounge and large TV. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Balcony was massive with view over a quiet area at the back. No lift, but no issue for us.There was a fridge, dining table and disposable cups. No other self catering supplies.A little bit of noise at night from people going up and down the stairs.The room we had was in a block behind the main hotel, which had a vending machine and there is restaurant/cafe on site offering continental breakfast, pizza, burgers and sandwiches. There are no other local restaurants.There is a small outdoor pool and bikes to rent.Nearest supermarket we found was about 1 km away. The beach is 5 min walk .

Uncomfortable Rooms and Unprofessional Staff

Horrible experience. After two months traveling in Spain, this was by far the worst stay. The rooms are tiny, the shower has no shelf so you leave your soap on the floor, and the photos online are misleading. When I complained, they told me I was “too big” and the manager was extremely rude.
