Friendly staff on reception are Jerry and Eva.All restaurant staff nice and friendly and cheerful.Housekeeping very good and clean. Always said hello.Breakfast a good choice and eggs cooked to order. Good choice and well stocked.Very good location.Rooms very tired though and showing their age! Overall pricey at €2,000 for 10 days!

Very disappointing experience – serious concerns over lost propertyWe have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, which makes our recent experience particularly disappointing.After leaving some belongings behind in our room, we immediately contacted the hotel by email and provided a detailed list of the items we had left. We subsequently received confirmation from the hotel that all of the items we had reported had been found and were being held for us.We travelled back to the hotel today to collect our belongings, only to discover that a brand-new yellow pair of Hugo Boss swimming shorts was missing.We immediately raised this with reception, expecting the matter to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the response from the receptionist was extremely dismissive. We were essentially told that she was busy and had a job to do. There was very little concern or willingness to help resolve the situation.What concerns us most is that the hotel had already confirmed in writing that they had everything we had reported missing, yet one of the items was no longer there when we arrived to collect our belongings.This raises serious concerns about the hotel’s lost-property and housekeeping procedures. There appears to have been a significant breakdown in the handling of our belongings, and we believe the hotel should properly investigate what happened, including who had access to the room and the items after they were left behind.We have stayed here many times previously, but unfortunately this experience has completely changed our view of the hotel. Trust is extremely important when leaving personal belongings behind, and the way this situation was handled has left us very disappointed.Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning.I hope management takes this complaint seriously and reviews its housekeeping and lost-property procedures to ensure that other guests do not find themselves in the same situation.

Never experienced Sitges? It's well worth a visit - especially Hotel Platjador!

Went with my travel buddy. Hadn't been back to Sitges for 35 years. Boy. It's grown in size, and the old town has changed – for the better. What were dwellings are now shops and restaurants. Amazing retail therapy, and you feel very safe walking around day or night. The hotel is superbly located. I highly recommend you try and get a room on the front with the sea view, which is magnificent. If you stay in the back, you see the other buildings in the town. Being on the front is so much quieter. None of the noise from the busy bars and clubs that are situated in the narrow streets behind the hotel. Sitges is a vibrant, lively town steeped in history with very well-maintained classic Spanish architecture. What's really appealing is you don't need taxis – everything is within strolling distance. A huge Mercadona is less than a 10-minute walk from the Platjador. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Very clean, and the breakfast choice is five-star! There is a huge buffet, and items change daily. Of course all the standard fare is there, but there's so much extra choice. We were knocked out at the diversity of the buffet. They'll make you an omelette – just choose your ingredients and tell them how many eggs you want to hold your ingredients together with. Lovely, friendly staff, Nice pool (not huge, but there's a built-in jacuzzi and water massage beds built into the pool). Three big massage jets also get your shoulders. There is room to swim, but the massage beds inside the pool restrict it a little. I used it every day. If you haven't experienced Sitges, I highly recommend it and specifically the Plajador (roughly translated as 'Beachgoer') – which it definitely is, because it's about 40 paces to the sand. A lovely, clean seafront, too.

What a practically perfect hotel!We had a wonderful stay in a beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable pool-facing room (407). Having a fridge in the room was especially important for keeping my insulin cool, and this was much appreciated.The housekeeping team, especially Rosa and Marie, were absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always so friendly and helpful.Breakfast was delicious every morning, with a fantastic variety of fresh food. The staff were more than happy to prepare fresh omelettes or any style of eggs we requested. Again, nothing was too much trouble.The reception team were equally wonderful. All three were incredibly professional, welcoming and always happy to help. They even patiently entertained my husband every day as he practised his new Spanish phrases!This was our third stay, and we already know we’ll be back again next year. The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants in either direction when you step outside the hotel.A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent hotel, very helpful and polite staff on reception and ever where in the hotel We advised that we would be checking out at 08.30 and were offered picnic breakfasts, we had time to eat at the buffet, but a nice offer without bringing asked, the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a large and varied selectionOur room on the second floor was clean and neat, with a double and single bed pushed together, shower had multiple jets and a good sizeIdeal location, straight over the road and onto the beachWould recommend and will return
